Trail Mix -- July 24, 2008
Welcome to the Trail Mix....well this is where you post all your randomness that doesn't really deserve its own fanpost, but is still important and doesn't fit elsewhere. Don't forget about the fanshots too--you can always use those for pictures, vidoes, links, etc. Sometimes I feel like only TiH reads my fanshots...
Alright so to get thingsgoing, I need some advice. I've been in Tillamook for the past week and a half visiting family, and I've yet to go to the Tillamook cheese factory. I'll probably be going Saturday; what ice cream flavors should I get?
I'll probably get a waffle cone, cuz' they're the bomb. But I don't know what flavors to get. I want a double scoop, so here's the scoop--I'll post a poll, EngineerScotty-style, and you guys vote. Top vote getter will be my bottom scoop, and second-best vote getter will be my top scoop.

Just today, I noticed that ABC News calls their daily campaign coverage “Trail Mix”... we should’ve copyrighted it.

Tillamook?
Yeah, I’m there right now. Funny how people come from all over to visit the Cheese Factory and when you live here you barely go. Bubble gum ice cream all the way, as long as it’s not for me.

you just can’t beat it. i sometimes wish it were that awesome peanut butter with chunks of ice cream, instead of the other way around.

I went last weekend and chocolate peanut butter is still my favorite! Although, the relatively recently added cows in brownie batter is also quite good. Really, you can’t go wrong!

I've never read anything by Vonnegut
I looked at Breakfast of Champion’s Wiki and it said “anus” and I clicked the link and saw an anus. Actually I saw two ani. Ha, I made up a word.

I was read a book or two a week on the bus and now I haven’t read one in well over a year. The last book I started to read was Hawaii by James Michener. It kept putting me to sleep.

Wow.
If this is his breakout season, what do you call last year?
I can see it now… Voted into the All-Star game by the fans, averaging 25, 10 and 8, MVP honors, a WCF berth…
Come to think of it, I hope this is Roy’s breakout season!

One scoop bubblegum, one scoop banana
In a waffle cone of course. It’s my usual. There are too many flavors, too many choices, my mind freezes and from somewhere in my subconscious a voice says, “Bubble gum and banana!” and then immediately I wish I’d gotten something different…something unique…like one scoop mushroom and one scoop chartreuse in a terra cotta finger bowl.
The air museum at the blimp hanger is worth a look if that sort of stuff interests you. And of course Cape Mears and the whole 3 capes scenic route is the best kept secret of the Oregon coast. From downtown Tilly you wouldn’t even know you are a mile from some of the best coastal scenery in the state.
And lastly here’s a link to a Blazers article at Hoopsworld…probably been posted around here somewhere already but I can’t keep up with it all.

I have lived in Tillamook for 15 years,
the chocolate peanutbutter is the perfect icecreme.
They consider themselves forward thinking in Portland from what friends tell me. Apparently they have this global warming issue handled. They’ve found ways to end your life as a profit making venture. And they’re hip to counter culture icons.

I dunno best Tillamook flavor
BUT THE BEST FLAVOR IN THE WORLD OF ICED CREAMS is—
Oatmeal Chunk by Ben n’ Jerry’s.
I’ve never really been a ice cream guy, we (we = me and The Made Up Fiancee) got a cravin’ and I like oatmeal cookies so I got that flavor on a whim and it changed my whole life. CINNAMON ice cream, oatmeal cookie dough, lil’ bit of chocolate, it’s the best ice cream in the world by far and if anyone disagrees they are a Nazi and enjoy watching Kobe play on the Lakers.
I WANT SOME OATMEAL CHUNK RIGHT NOW.
It’s the best.
