Aldridge/Bayless & Olympic team practice - UPDATE to the UPDATE
Does anyone have information regarding how Bayless and Aldridge are doing practicing against the Olympic team?
Here's a photo I found at the O Live forum:
UPDATE: Here's some video of the Olympic team scrimmaging with the select team. Some of it shows LaMarcus in action...I will warn you it's not pretty.
UPDATE TO THE UPDATE: Some notes from the scrimmages. It sounds like Bayless with his gimpy hand, didn't get to play much b/c he is not signed yet to a contract? It's a little unclear. Anyway, here's the passage, maybe you can figure it out:
Select Team coach P.J. Carlesimo said that Mayo had to go home after Wednesday and Blazers rookie Jerryd Bayless was hurt with a lingering hand injury from summer league so he appreciated Westbrook and Smith helping out.
"Only got to play one day with Russell and with J.R. we really couldn’t take a chance and put him out there, due to the fact that he’s unsigned, but they helped us when we put the stuff in on five-on-five" Carlesimo said. "Russell got to play a little bit which was good because we would not have been able to scrimmage today, we didn’t have enough guys and they helped us out."
The whole article is here
And a little more...here is some audio of Nate and Chad Buchanan talking about the team and how LaMarcus and Bayless are doing against the Olympians.
P.S. How did this become the dating tips and fashion thread? Maybe someone should open up an OT dating and fashion thread.

I read somewhere a quote of Jerryd saying
“I’m not good with the ladies.” He obviously should be. He must be like me: Very handsome, relatively successful, and terrible with creative conversation concerning women. I feel your pain, Jerryd. I can’t remember where I read this though. Anyone else remember seeing it?

Ask Questions and Compliment the Ladies
A little humor helps too. Like say you’re at a funeral, you could say, “Wow, you look great in black.” Then look around the room and point at an old person and say, “How would you like to go on a date with me to that guy’s funeral?”
Works every time.

compliment and show genuine interest by asking questions. Be yourself. Remember it is perfectly ok just to have a conversation without dreaming about a future with them or even asking them out. “Let the game come to you”.
The funeral “pick up” and consequential date is a difficult one. Leave that to the masters like Tom.

I'm always amazed
how various groups of people always swear that they never meet other various groups of people that a have what they’re a lacking.
Ultimately… i think people should get out more. By that I mean don’t just mean quantity, but mixing it up and exploring new places and things. After all, if hte same old isn’t working… mix it up :)
This has included myself in the past. I like the nerdy girls but going to sports bars or events isn’t going to score me those. Unfortunately sneaking into their homes does score you a night in jail for trespassing.
It’s not my fault… if they freaking GOT OUT MORE!!!!

I don’t think you’re too old for Facebook? Originally, it was almost exclusively college kids and college grads (that was like 4 years ago). It’s kind of changed demographically, but I think there’s still a lot of people your age. I have a myspace but I never liked it too much. When I used it was very slow and there were ads everywhere. Although facebook isn’t as customizable, it has a lot of nice networking features, and picture tagging and all that.

Women want more opportunities
even if it is not with you. They want guys that are willing to be more active in their world, and open to women in general. You don’t have to be friend material. If you are not their tye they might find someone for you who is. Gynoworld is weird for us competitive cavemen. It is best to travel light with a smile on your face.

I actually laughed out loud when I read that one. I like “Gynoworld” better than insinuating that women are from Venus – it’s like they’re from a theme park instead of a whole different planet.
And yes, that DOES mean that instead of Mars, us men can be from the TestosterZone.
