OT: Court Rivals- A FOURTH BE team created (2 OPEN SPOTS)

If you haven't heard about it yet, Court Rivals is "a fantasy basketball simulator that you can play for free online. Basically you create a character, join a team and improve your stats and whatnot." (Thank Dheepan for showing it to us).

The first three teams are full, so i went ahead and created a fourth team for some of us acting a little later then our fellow BEdgers.

Name: Red Unit

Password: Oden

Rise with us...

For the team: 1. Let's all try and be about 300 skill points by Friday.

                      2. I'm just going to start the players with the most skill points as long as there is a point (around 5'11-6'3 and good at passing, ball handeling, and shooting), a shooting guard (6'3-6'7 and good shooter and slasher), a small forward (6'6-6'9 and a jack of all trades), and a couple of big men (6'10+ and rebounder, shot blocker).

UPDATE: TWO PLAYERS HAVE BEEN CUT DUE TO NON-ACTIVITY, THAT LEAVES TWO SPOTS OPEN FOR GUARDS. PLEASE NOTE, YOU WILL BE CUT IF YOU DON'T TRAIN.

haha

Minute Bol. What a great name!

I wonder if anyone on Court Rivals has taken the name “Sideways Manute” yet.

It looks like

we could use more shooting and defense from both our current players and newcomers

I call foul

Somebody stole my point guard name: Rudy Royriguez. When we meet on the (imaginary) court, Royriguez will get his revenge…

Also, there is a team forum so everyone wont read your strategies and what not….

I joined Blazer's Edge and Court Rivals for this

Hi everyone!

First post. I created a 6’6” shooting guard and joined the team. Thanks for starting the team – it looks like fun!

Quick Question

How do you look at other player’s skill levels? I need to create the starting line up with the most skilled players.

smile, your on a poster

by Trail Blazer on Jul 22, 2008 10:53 PM PDT reply actions

I can't answer your question exactly but I can help

The default setting appears to be to not reveal our attributes to anyone (“Reveal Attributes to: No One”). To let you see them, we need to go to Settings—> Player Settings and change that value. The other options are “Reveal Attributes to: Team Captain” and “Reveal Attributes to: My Team”. I’d suggest using the second one (“My Team”) so we can see where everyone else is strong and get a sense of how the attributes affect game stats. But at least set it to “Team Captain” to let Trail Blazer set the starting lineup.

THIS IS COOL BUT

Please don’t rec it to the featured fanposts without un-rec’ing the other one.

dang it!

I made a player back when team #2 was created, and missed out on the team as it filled up, then I tried for team #3, and once again missed out. I thought for sure I would get to join team #4, but alas, my rookie has gone undrafted.

If anyone needs a power forward

I am one. I’m not too skilled yet, but I’m not the worst in the league. I am training as we speak.

Yours truly,
Marcus Lucas

If you need

A rebounding/scoring/blocking 7’1” center let me know, my man Billy Ray Johnson can close down the middle for ya!

by usmcr3049 on Jul 23, 2008 9:16 AM PDT up reply actions

What is the max skill level?

I’m at 30 for rebounding (my highest) and need to know if that is something I should work on, or be satisfied with that for awhile.

I think me and Marc Chagall are gonna need to leave.

Courtrivals.com is blocked at my office, so it will be too hard to play.

come on

when the going gets tough the tough get going. Why not just wake up every hour at night to train two skills?

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside.
