Comcast/DirecTV updates

I'm a direcTV subscriber (not for long). Suddenly, Portland summer league games [in Las Vegas] are blacked out.

1 - What the F?

2 - Will DirecTV people be able to watch the Blazers this year? What's the status on that? [And no, I don't mean over the internet].

A - I'm moving to New Jersey for the entire of the next regular season. What are my options for watching games? What about the radio? Anything for free?

Thanks!

radio is free

just google NBA audio league pass.

When you move to NJ, you can buy NBA league pass (tv or broadband) or you can troll bball forums like the oregonlive forum for links at gametime.

I'm blacked out in Central Oregon on DISH

but in NJ you will get the NBA League Pass for the Blazers except when they are in NY or NJ or maybe Phil & Washington.

No live tv on Directv

but they do rerun them on NBATV (ch 601) late night

Which now

With Directv, there is no more free NBATV, you have to either order the sports pack, or buy league pass.

yeah i have the sports pack

it’s pretty much only good for Fox Sports NW. What a waste of $15/month.

FSNW?

Isn’t that free? I don’t have the sports pack, but I do have FSNW. If DTV and Comcast ever get a deal done, I’ll be buying the sports pack.

Comcast is demanding a wider audience percentage than sports pack may provide

Part of the problem with other channels obtaining Blazer games is the rediculous demand tor 90-95% of all subscribers have to get Comcast. The other part is adding $2 to everyone’s bill for the channel. Both are outrageous. Like Fuzznutzz demanding a new arena in Seattle without committing a single dollar from ownership. Until the Blazers take the rights back we are lanced through and through.

they're/their/there

That should be “F their stupid channel that’s not on my satellite.”

“They’re” is the contracted form of “they are”

I was pretty frustrated

when that first game got blacked out (NBAtv) but not surprised. Bayless made the games worth watching though, even knowing the results. I’m hoping some sort of deal is worked out by the start of the season, that’s just dirty business blacking out a channel I already pay extra for.

After watching 3 Blazer games in a week in Summer League

I realize I will not get to watch even 2 games consecutively until next summer league and only 5 or 6 throughout regular season, like last year. And the blacked out games on NBA channel were because Comcast took those away from us as well.

So long Blazers. It was nice seeing you again.
