Around SBN: Jerry Sandusky's Wife Tries To Run A Reporter Over

The summer league is on.

I am watching the Clipper and though I have never been a fan of the Clippers they are fun to watch.  They have some new big time runners.  Snapper Jones is calling the game.  His voice sounds weak and he looks very puffy.  I have always liked him.  When he did the Blazers broadcast with Walton it was always a riot.  Neither of them could ever let anything go or admit they might have been wrong on a point.  Does anyone know if there is a problem?

They consider themselves forward thinking in Portland from what friends tell me. Apparently they have this global warming issue handled. They’ve found ways to end your life as a profit making venture. And they’re hip to counter culture icons.

No more ten foul rule?

Jason Smith of the 76ers had 11 fouls today in Vegas.

KEEPING UP WITH STEVE JONES
Oregonian, The (Portland, OR) – May 21, 1992
Author: GEOFFREY ARNOLD

Bob Costas, host of NBC’s basketball pregame show, has added a bit of intrigue to the Jones saga. During a telecast, whenever Costas ``tosses’’ the microphone to Jones, it’s not `` Steve Jones ,’’ it’s Steve `` Snapper ’’ Jones. Where did that nickname come from?
``The name came from former teammates on the St. Louis Spirits,’’ Jones said. ``When I was playing there, Costas was just beginning his broadcasting career and he heard about the name. Costas thinks he knows the story behind it. But he really doesn’t.
``Bob adds ` Snapper ’ on the air to help viewers remember who I am. It’s helped me establish an identity. People know me by the nickname.’‘
Just how did he acquire the name?
``I’m not telling,’’ Jones said, laughing. ``It’s good to have a little mystery in life.’’

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.
