Golden State Fans Delirious

No doubt I would be seriously upset and might...might just lose touch with reality if a player of Baron Davis' ilk left Portland.  However, I thought this was pretty funny.  This was posted over at Golden State of Mind...

It is titled GREG ODEN MOVEMENT

what other young centers are out there Emeke Okafor? since we are on the rebuild lets send al harrington and stephen jackson over to portland for steve blake, joel przybilla, and greg oden. i know how that sounds but oden could still be great. and harrington and jackson aren't so hot without BD. so lets play the youngsters Oden AR & B Wright Ellis and blake until we get a legit PG or play Ellis at the 1 and petries at the 2. we also can offer josh smith too much money to turn down and trade AR with the rest of them. we cant contend for a playoff spot in the west any way until the spurs suns and mavs fall off, so maybe we can win the lotto next season and get a pg or go after (i'm trying not to say kirk hinrick) go after felton and okafor in a package deal.

greg oden is more attainable than okafor. and we all know we could use him. can oden restore our hope is the question.

Perhaps it is a smokescreen....

They are floating out Oden’s name, but we know that they are really lusting after Raef LaFrentz. ;)

Doesn't sound all that different

than oh, say, the last 50 trade proposals on the bedge…

Way to get that sarcasm back, Raoul.

Well it's not like anyone posting is taking it seriously

It’s just one anonymous idiot. Then again we are getting pretty dumb trade proposols, none of that magnitude however.

I think we should christen a special poster with a daily Isiah Thomas award for moronic trade proposal.

But imagine

if a visitor took one of our wild trade suggestions … like, oh, ones that TIH makes … and posts it on the trading partner’s blog. It might look like a real suggestion rather than someone making fun of the more absurd suggestions. Then TIH would be labeled “an anonymous idiot” and no one would ever take him seriously again. Wait, what did I just say?

Not to nitpick

But the comma should come after “player”, not “for”.

Oh really? How about this one from BLAZERS#52. Portland gives up Martell Webster, Ike Diogu, Channing Frye, and Sergio Rodriguez to get Malik Rose (a fantastic point guard in case you didn’t know) and David Lee. ” like it what do u guys think lee is a good back up to travis and rose is a good piont guard and it dumps off some of the players that will never play (sergio and ike) so i really like this deal and i think new york would do it because they want to clear cap space”

I rest my case.

Ok I forgot about that one.

Still Greg Oden, Steve Blake and Joel Pryzbilla for Stephen Jackson and Al Harrington?

The guy who posted that is serious

though I wonder what color the sky is in his world. He joined GSOM a few days ago and has been busy making Chris Mullin look stupid for not coming up with brilliant ideas like using their trade exception to bring in Eddy Curry or Starbury.

Most of the responses so far have been from BEdgers. I kinda wish we’d held back a bit to see what the GSOMers had to say.

Meanwhile, has anyone responded to Mr. Brent Jonathan Beck regarding his rock-solid prophecy that the Blazers were going to trade the 13th pick for Jamaal Tinsley? You can find it here: http://tinyurl.com/6otwv8

I'll give BJB this much,

he got the team involved in a trade with us right. Even if the guy Indy was trading wasn’t JB, you gotta give him mad props for getting the team right in a draft that was as crazy as this one.
