You've Gotta Be Kidding!
Is KP assembling an unbelievable team, or what?
I can't believe what I am seeing. You mean these guys are all on the same team?
Oden, Roy, Aldridge, Trout, Bayless, Fernandez, & Webster? And Batum, Pryzbilla, Frye, Diogu? No way. Can't be true.
Really I am just flabbergasted. Totally at a loss for words. Don't know why I even posted this except I am so darn excited. Can we fast forward through the summer and start the season already?
If anyone votes YES on the poll below then I want you to tell me which team you're talking about. For the life of me I can't think of any team that even comes close to the Blazers in terms of young talent. I feel truly sorry for the rest of the league and the rest of NBA fandom. We are so loaded it is not even fair. This is just absolutely sick.

So, what's Blake? Chopped liver?

yeah
But I gotta admit he’s seasoned with some tasty herbs and spices. I usually don’t like chopped liver.

the answer is a definite no
However, in the NBA you play 5 players at once. There are teams with fewer good players but with better players at the top… at least for a little longer.

Thank you jksnake99
You’re always there to temper our enthusiasm and bring us back to earth. We were on Cloud 9 but thanks to your candid and sobering reply I am now on cloud 7 1/2.
I'm a little confused by your tactics

i do my best
I think Cloud 7 1/2 is an appropriate place to be at this point.

Ya, you're probably right.
I’ll stay on cloud 9 until we have our first back to back losses. Then I’ll drop to cloud 8. I won’t hit 7 1/2 unless there is a prolonged losing streak or internal turmoil.
Cloud 10 is reserved for a title

don't get ahead of ourselves
Trader Bob assembled some teams that seemed pretty awesome at the time, too. In retrospect people might look back with less-than-fond-memories, but those teams were stuffed with talent and while some went on to get in trouble, the vast majority were good teammates.
We won’t really know how they all fit together for awhile yet. I’m already skeptical that we’ll be able to maximize our guard potential with so many people having to share minutes.

One star player
can offset a host of very good players. We need Oden to be that player. We need him to be in a category along with Kobe, LeBron, Paul, Howard, Dirk, Nash, Duncan. Then we can say we have a great team.

Roy
I do believe Roy can develop into that player. He certainly has the pedigree so far. The main reason he doesn’t get that “great” label is that he wasn’t as hyped coming out of college, he doesn’t put very much flash in his game and he plays for a small market team.

he is gonna be a perrenial all star if he stays healthy which i do believe he will … :)
