OLE, OLE, OLE, OLE!!! Team Espana
Congratulations to Team Espana and alamart, who will probably be checking in in a few days after his hangover wears off, for winning Euro 2008 soccer/futbol championships.
I would imagine that Sergio and Rudy are gonna be partying as well.
Spain won 1-0 over Germany and looked pretty good doing it in the process.
Now we get to look forward to the Olympics and the Spanish basketball team. Remember:
---August 16th Team USA vs Team Espana---
-----Nate vs Rudy-----

You're a Croat?
I live in Croatia. Zagreb to be specific.

I´ll probably visit Croatia and/or Montenegro this August.
I have doubts about what would be better as base: Dubrovnik or Split?.

Not sure dude,
I’ve only been in country for 3 weeks so I’m still new to it all. I’ve heard great things about both cites.

The Day After the Draft
I was at the hotel my wife works at for brunch. I overheard one guy in the restaurant ask another guy if he likes sports. The other guy replied, “Yeah, I watch Jai Alai.”

If one was to compile combined rankings...
... for nations’ ability to play the world’s two most popular games (futbol and hoops), Spain would be a very strong candidate for #1. Argentina would probobly be their primary competition. The US would be in the top 10, but not in the top 5.
I really enjoyed watching team Spain in this tournament.

The US would completely dominate one
and be somwhwat competitive in the other. Therefore, it’s likely that the US would still come out number one if the two sports are evenly scored.
Man, I’m not sure why I even bothered with that. I’m retarded.

not that this matters...
... but both Spain and Argentina are top 5 teams in both sports. The US is a decent soccer country but not in the top 10, and while we are still the favorites for the olympics its hard to call us completely dominant in hoops when we haven’t won anything since the 2000 Olympics.

Thank you.
There are some happy people around here making a lot of noise. Hope one day it will be the same when we choose a good government or a Spanish wins the Nobel Prize.
GO BLAZERS!!!.

No Spaniards won the Nobel prize?
I never knew that. We hear you about the government. I was just trying to explain to my girlfriend why KP was so awesome. WHy can’t we get someone like THAT in government, huh? I’d vote for him.

The Scots who haven’t won the Nobel prize are the exceptions here.

Today at work
One of the Germans came up to me and out of the blue and started telling me about todays game. It is pretty sad that I cant muster up any amount of care for this sport as people seem really into it. Maybe they should get into the excitement of off season basketball! That is where it is at.
Life is exhausting when you are this stupid.

Germany looked awful
I’m sure alot of that had to do with the free flowing style of the champs.
Ballack and ther rest of the black and white looked very confused all game long.
Congrats to Spain, they deserved it!!!
