Indiana Fans got it worse... than old blazer fans

checked out the Indiana Fan site. Barely any comments... but some are funny. this one especially.

"I am starting to lose hope to the franchise I have loved so much….. Why is Thomas run out of New York so fast when Bird slides under the radar…. I am personally starting to think Bird is worse than Thomas…. seriously I dont care what Bird says the move was horrific…. you can look at it like the whole Alford and Reggie Miller draft but Alford wasnt projected as the possible third overall pick of the draft… we got a steal in Bayless…. I was so happy… I had texted all of my Cavs fans rubbing it in their face… they were giving me props…. envious…. somewhat jealous….. 20 minutes later…. they were laughing at me rubbing it right back in my face…. what the hell is Larry doing here? I hope he has a plan…. because frankly the Hibbert move was the icing on the cake where I truly lost hope…. like seriously if Ike Diogu doesnt fit in with our team how the hell is the slower and less athletic Roy Hibbert??? Looks like we are building a college All-Star team… in my mind with these picks Bird would have picked Christian Laettner over Shaq!!!"

good luck Indi, they should hire Chuck Person, anyone remember him? the Pacers and Celtics had some great battles back then. anyone remember those?

I wasnt too high on Bayless, so that's probably a good thing. hes probably the best fit for this team out of the whole daft (besides Rose)...

What Larry Bird accomplished this draft I think was GREAT for Indiana....

Here is what Indiana gave up…

FC Jermaine O’Neal
PF Ike Diogu
PG Jarryd Bayless

Here is what Indiana added to their team…

PG TJ Ford 6’0”
CG Jarrett Jack 6’3”
GF Brandon Rush 6’7”
C Roy Hibbert 7’2”
C Rasho Nesterovic 7’1”
PF Nathan Jawai 6’10”
PF Josh McRoberts 6’10”

Hey, this team wasn’t that good before and they seem to have added some good talent and depth…

PG Ford/JJack/T.Diener
SG Dunleavy/K.Rush/M.Daniels
SF Granger/B.Rush/S.Williams
PF T.Murphy/Jawai/J.McRoberts
FC Foster/Hibbert/Nesterovic

For the most part, this team is young. But, they added a lot in getting rid of O’Neal. C’mon people, Jarrett Jack is a good player and will be solid there. Ford is legit when healthy, but he is legit. Rush, Hibbert, Jawai, McRoberts, and Nesterovic are all better reserves that what they had.

I think Bird & Co. did a solid job.

I'll rec

for giving bird his props. Rush was favorably compared to Roy (in terms of preparedness). I don’t think Indiana got a full pritchslap. Maybe only a half.

Sactown got the Pritchslap

Indiana was going to pick Rush, then Sactown was going to pick Bayless.

Prtichard leap frogged the Kings and Indiana got their guy plus a quality point guard in Jarret Jack. Indiana didn’t do so bad, I agree.

and I also recced this. Indiana has significantly strengthened their team. And Bayless wasn’t even close to a fit for them after the Ford trade. They got a steal and turned it into players that will help them.

This trade was a win/win. Better for us than for them, but good for both teams.
