Dave, this question's for you man (OT)
It seems that we all post a heck of a lot more than the other SB Nation NBA blogs. To the point where you're getting national recognition on ESPN (Dave's famous, I want royalties!!!)... Do you get any stats, or are you able to see how many posts/comments we average a day compared to the other sites? I'd be curious to know, I'm sure all the other faithfuls would as well. I don't know if it makes us look really nerdy time wasters, or really super duper devoted fans, but either way I'd love to know!

I'm not a stats freak
I’ve always been of the opinion that a guy can get in trouble checking out how many people read him each day. You get tempted to start writing for the attention and to generate heat instead of writing what you see is true. Every once in a blue moon I check but in general the health of the sidebar and quality of discussion there and in the main posts are all I need to know. I said from the very beginning I didn’t care if three people or three thousand were reading and discussing as long as the discussion is the best around. We’re not perfect maybe, but I think we’re right up there with the best around. We’re certainly more active than most other sports blogs and I think we have a community identity and passion that is probably as strong as any.

Hey Bay-beh, Speak for yourself, I come here to meet the ladies.
Mr. Twain click the Sitemeter thing down at the bottom of the page. It goes to here. I don’t know how to find out how many diaries per day though.

Wow
The sitemeter is even tracking us. It gives domain names and locations of everyone online, how long they’d been on, and how many page views.
At the time I looked, there were 160 people on the site (dropping to 143 when I left ). There were readers in 19 states, Japan, England, Canada, Poland, Malaysia, Ireland, Israel, and France.

C'mon!
That’s no fun! My main reason for asking is that even on the Celtics SB Nation blog the most current fan post is like 4 days old! I just wonder what makes us so much more involved and engaged…

Bitterly clinging not to our guns and bibles . . .

But what if we cling to all four?
They all go very well together. I think.

That's why we're voting for him
as a state. Man, I live in CA now, and I still think of myself as an Oregonian. I need to get a Beemer 3 or a hummer to move on. Maybe some designer sunglasses. Can anyone think of something else that would help my SoCal makeover more complete?

Yes.
The white collar job factor is probably quite significant. Strictly from my surface observations, there seems to me much less posting on weekends.
I’ve been meaning to do a fanpost w/poll regarding this social trend of using work time for personal blogging. Having been out business for awhile now, I find myself surprised that this sort of activity isn’t being more closely monitored by management..

means having time free. It’s when I’m too busy to post and read that something is going wrong. I have a lot of time on my hands:)

Interesting observation.
To be honest, I only come here after work. I work on websites all day, and I would get nothing done if I started posting on websites while on the job.
