Who's in and who's out of the draft?
"20. DENVER Ty Lawson 6-0 PG UNC
GM Notes: Needing a PG, the Denver Nuggets sleect Ty Lawson from the University of North Carolina. With the backcourt of Lawson and Iverson our goal will be to simply outscore everyone to make up for the lack of D and size in the backcourt. With a lineup of Lawson, Iverson, Anthony, Klieza and Camby we have a fast, mobile group who can fly up and down the floor, add to that the elevation in Denver and a lot of teams will leave gassed and with a loss."
I guess my selection will have to be redone as well as the NJ/LAC trade as both Lawson and Budinger are supposedly pulling out.
Also those who were high on grabbing Hudson with the 33rd (yea) he pulled out as well (boo.) Also it is kinda funny the guy we had in twice is not staying in, Beaubois.
Gallinari is in but whether or not he will come over is drafted by a team he does not want is up for debate as he has a pretty good deal lined up in Italia and may just want to stay there and play. He has also made some comments that he would only want to play in NY or NJ, bigger market teams with high Italian populations as well.

Oh what's with the obnoxious provincialism?
We saw this with Yi whatshisface, last year’s Chinese phenom who got drafted by the Bucks. The dude insisted that he only wanted to play on a big market team. I’m glad the Bucks didn’t let him get his way. I felt like telling him that the NBA - all of it - is a big market team. Who the heck was he to be questioning which team he ended up playing on? Just play the damn game. Lucky even to be in the league. Be a professional, not a whiny-faced little provincialist.
Same with Gallinari. Another case of whiny-faced provincialism. If he wants to be around Italian people then he oughta move back to Italy.
Totally agree
I think it stemmed back to when Steve Francis only wanted to play in a city with other Americans, and then to his dismay was forced to go live with Canadians (yuck!) I mean c’mon, they are ALMOST a NBA team.

I can't wait for the Bucks to draft Gallinari.

Gallanari to the Bucks.... easy call
what other team in their position would waste a pick like that?
If you dont talk to your cats about catnip, who will?
chinese phenom?
I dont think he was ever described as a phenom or even potential phenom. You’re not referring to the joke “Ha” are you?

Gallinari
will now drop to #13, and KP, having interviewed him, will take him.
Next year, he will be European player of the year, and win so many trophies his wife will tell him, “Galli, too many trophies, our living room is too crowded. Go be a big fish in a big pond.”
He will come over in 2009-2010, and win ROY for us as our 8th man off the bench, scoring 18 ppg in only 12 minutes on 83% shooting. He will buy a very large house in Portland, so that there is room for all of his new trophies, and for the extra rings he will win (after he has one for each of his ten fingers).
The stuff about bigger markets with Italian populations is just something he and KP cooked up to get teams to leave him in the draft until #13.
