the l* l*kers choke job
(Precursor: if the l*kers come back and win(yeah a long shot) please disregard this post)
Much has been made of the choke job that the l*kers had in game 4 and some have compared it to our collapse in 2000.
My question to you is how will this affect the l*kers in future years?
Looking back that loss in game 7, that was the genesis of the J*ilBaazers, after that game our will was so crushed that it has taken us up until 2006 to recover from it. Will K*be go warpath on the l*kers again, as he did not win it all? Or will this push them harder to win it all next year.
This is the worst comeback loss in the history of the finals and it happened on their homecourt, what happens it Bos wins again tomorrow and beats them in front of their own homecrowd?
I would think that they will come back stronger next year but it seems that with K*obe things are either going really well or they are crap, there is little middle ground, it seems with him. It K*obe aint happy aint nobody on the l*kers happy.
What are your thoughts on the matter?

The real question is how it will affect K*be.
He’ll go back to the pouty, I’m-all-that-matters attitude that peaked at the beginning of this season.
I’ll say it: K* be will never win another ring.
On a side note, I live in LA. An apartment across the courtyard has been filled with L*kers fans for every game. During game 4 I had to listen to a bunch of obnoxious chortling about how awesome they were. Fourth quarter? Complete silence.
I think when Boston wraps it up I’m going to go out on my balcony and laaaaaugh.

Just one suggestion...
wear a Sheed mask when you go out on the balcony to laugh. It will make them even madder and they wont really know what you look like. Let us know later how that works out.

I'm in LA too
And already since that game 4, I’ve seen about half as many Laker flags on cars as before. Everyone had one before, and the flags would be all over no matter where I went. I don’t think I was just coincidentally going where there weren’t cars with Laker flags the last few days…
I mean, I know no team has ever come back from 3 – 1 down in the Finals, and it was a horrible loss. But to remove the flag and surrender? Already? I mean, they do got Kobe after all. He could win 3 straight against the Celtics, maybe. It is at the very least POSSIBLE. By removing the flag already you are giving up hope on your team and saying you’re so disappointed with them that you refuse to show your support for them even when they have another home game left.
I didn’t even realize I hadn’t seen many Laker flags until I finally saw one; I said to meself, I said, “Meself, you haven’t done n’ gone seen many of ‘dose flags since ‘dat loss the udder day” and I agreed with Meself that what me said was true.
Boston better not be counting their chickens before they fall out of their basket. If they don’t win this and Kobe gets to add HISTORIC COMEBACK FROM THE BRINK OF DESPAIR to his OH MY STARS KOBE REDEEMED HIMSELF LOOK AT THE LEADERSHIP storyline they’re shoving down our throats, I’ll be plenty… unhappy.

Come to think of it
I haven’t seen as many car flags either. Good eye. Typical LA fairweather fandom.

I’m not sure if that was pickaninny or cockney, but I’m pretty sure that was internet-racist, at best. Lovely.

Destroy them
At least I hope that’s what happens. As much as I enjoy our rivalry, I’d be happy with Blazers vs. Bulls and seeing k*be in despair.

Kobe will win one more ring
He’ll do it 6 years from now as the back-up shooting guard to Brandon Roy.

I think that the biggest question regarding the L*kers is whether they will panic and trade one of their core players or not. They seemed to have thought that they were good enough as is to win this year and a few years into the future.
Do they wait for Bynum and go the long-term, or trade for the present, seeing how close they are, and Kobe’s ego.
(This is actually similar to the Blazers’ situation, but with very different expectations from fans and current players.)

Yeah, I thought you loved LA
You were Los Angeles biggest fan around here and think it is Marvelous, don’t you?
I always appreciated the nice things you’d say about Blazers (especially Aldridge), since it means a lot coming from such a huge LA fan. We welcome all here.
Wait a tick—are you one of those Laker fans who had a Laker flag on their car and took it off already and now have turned on your team so drastically that you’re openly rooting against them?
I’M SO CORN-FUSED.

Shame, shame, shame...
you know the rules around here: Never question another Bedgers fanship.
I am glad that you appreciate the nice things about MY Blazers. It probably would mean a lot IF it had come from a Faker fan.
Due to the previous two statements of mine I don’t believe the your third one even deserves a response.
I do hope that you will no longer be CORN-FUSED.
BTW: Didn’t I read somewhere that you were living in LA? The guilt must be killing you.

Knowing is half the battle
Kobe will just blame the losses on Bynum’s injury. With him the the lineup they should be better. I hope Phil retires.

An NBA Fan, Not a Laker Fan Says..
Well put. The Lakers with Bynum at the 5 and Gasol at the 4 are a dynamo. We Blazers (that is, us fans and the actual players who constitute the real Trailblazer team) can only wait for our players to mature, gain playoff experience in losing to them, and for the aforementioned champions to decline in age (their skills, not their senescence – that would be contradictory to all we know about the calendar).

Already scripted by Stern...
...Finally Kobe gets the regular season MVP…Lakers come back from 3-1 deficit to force game 7…and win it all in Boston. Bryant is series MVP. Ratings and revenue go through the roof.
