OT: Blazer Love!!
It isn't even the draft yet and I'm gettin the shakes in anticipation of the start of next season. All the good tidings we are hearing about how Oden is a beast and that Rudy says he will be coming got me inspired to write a song. Since I have no ability to write music at all, I decided to rip off one of the greatest driving songs ever and bend it to my purposes. So with no further ado.....here is "Blazer Love" ....sung (if you feel inspired) to the tune of Golden Earring's Radar Love.
I've been typin' all day, my fingers startin' to peel
There's a voice in my head.. either Twardzik or Steele
It's the Blazers callin', says we need you here
And it's a half past six and I'm shiftin' gear
When it's November and the longing gets too much
Been watching Comcast and it sure ain't enough
Don't need no T.V. at all!!!
We've got a thing that's called Blazer Love
We've got Wheels on the air, Blazer Love
YouTube is playing some forgotten song
"Bust a Bucket" comin' on strong
The road has got me hypnotized
And the season's gonna bring a new suprise
When I get jonesin' and Comcast ain't enough
Wife hands me tickets like a prayer from above
We don't need The TV at all
We've got a thing that's called Blazer Love
We've finally got Rudy this night...Blazer Love
(Instrumental break)
No more offseason, I'm almost there
Gotta keep cool now, gotta take care
Last Bridge to pass, here I go
And the lights of the Garden are startin'to glow
And the radio playin' that pre-game show
Boom-chacka-lacka comin' on strong
And "Toine" just sang his same ol'song
Oh one more Blazer lover gone!!!
When I get jonesin' and Comcast ain't enough
Wife hands me tickets like a prayer from above
We don't need The TV at all!
We've got a thing that's called Blazer Love
We've finally got Oden this night
We've got a thing that's called Blazer Love
We've got a thing that's called Blazer Love
Blazer Love!!!

Nice
You’re showing your age. The kids these days only know the rap music and songs from yesteryear that are made into TV commercials.

White Lion did a cover while I was in high school.

Everytime I do this
it is classic rock songs I rip off

I did the same thing on my profile last night
Just didn’t use the classic rock. I love the Golden Earring version though. It came out in 1973.

Thanks
It was from my bachelor party. I grew out my fingernails and mustache for it. The best man was supposed to arrange for everyone to grow one, but it only ended up being the two of us.

Nah
That was at about 8 hours of drinking and the forth of fifth bar. For some reason we were in that sketchy steak place on Woodstock. I was just inebriated. We went to the Acropolis Steakhouse next then a Portland Beavers game, where I slept on the bleachers.

I have been contemplateing
a take on Rudy done to the tune of Pretty Fly for a White Guy. I think that might have potential

I guess...wasn't a typical "Trade LMA for 5th Pick" in the draft post
so it is kinda off topic

Yeah, no more
creative, original posts please. I come here for the incessant and inane trade proposals. Could you please stop bumping them off of the bottom of the FanPost list? Thanks.

LMA's reign as "LaMonster of the Low Post" has just begun!
Oops, I forgot to post about the song rewrite...
Hey 92wastheyear! Not bad! I have thought about rewriting a couple of old Scorpions tunes but I am not sure how many Bedgers would have an appreciation for that. What can I say I am just an old former headbanger from the 80’s.

Winds of Change
Could be a good KP themed song about the renewal of love and hopefullness, when it all seemed beyond repair.
KP saved us all.
