some guy on the radio
I think it might have been Brian Wheeler, said that in a few years Terry Porter could possibly be the Blazers' next coach. What?! I, for one, want to see Nate McMillan stick around Portland for a while.
The Portland Trail Blazers interviewed Terry Porter for their vacant coaching job Sunday, ESPN.com's Marc Stein has learned.

Terry Porter made his mark in Portland with two trips to the NBA Finals in 10 seasons.
Porter, according to NBA coaching sources, was thus officially added to a Blazer search believed to favor Seattle coach Nate McMillan, with Phoenix assistant Marc Iavaroni also a strong contender.

Wow...don't know if I'm missing something,
but your picture and “news” report comes from this 2005 ESPN article.
Yes, we (the Blazers) interviewed Porter, but ultimately we decided that McMill is our man, and KP makes it sound like we’re sticking with him.
I especially am doubting Porter coaching us now that he’s on board with another team as coach.
Let me know if I’m missing something here; I’m not trying to smack anyone down or anything—I just don’t see anything newsworthy or even rumorworthy.

I know everything
KP and Nate are on the same page. Nate is not the greatest coach, sorry couch, in the world. He is still learning. Frick, look at Doc Rivers, he’s a freaking genius all the sudden, and a week ago he was a lunkhead. Mike Brown coached a team in the Finals. Mike Freaking Brown!
The Blazers are going to make the Finals. Nate is going to mess up, but there will be other mess ups that cause the team to lose. The next year everyone will have the failure, from the year before, to motivate them. Nate will be here for the long haul, unless he cannot get the team to rise above, sail through the changing ocean tides, and handle the seasons of an NBA life.
I think he can handle the changes. As long as the core stays healthy, I could coach this team to a ring in a few years. The real question is, how many numbers from the current roster, do we retire?

If we follow the lead from '77
Everyone and the sweat wiper will get their number retired.
The next generations of Blazers will have to use obscure symbols instead of jersey numbers. By then, a swastika will be ironically funny and the favorite player (Shawn Kemp’s 27th grandson) will wear a swastika as his jersey ‘number’ and be the most popular selling jersey in the world.
SO IT IS SAID, SO IT SHALL BE.

why are you and BlazersOrBust still awake?
It’s 3:00 AM Pacific time. I just took my wife to the airport and it’s only midnight, so I have an excuse.

BoB is in Spain
It’s like 11am, 2014 there.
I am partying it up by not working like I am ‘sposed to and procrastinating like a gangsta. Timg56 now hates me :-(
I can’t help myself to click over to the Blazers Edge window.
Also, I don’t need much sleep ever. If I could have one super power, it would be to never have to sleep. And, to ensure anyone who has had microfracture would come back better than ever.
