I applaud you good sir.
The Celtics may have bought their team, and have Garnett as a centerpiece, but they didn’t rip my heart out, place it on a shish-kebob in between a slice of onion and a bell pepper, baste it with teriyaki sauce, broil it under glowing red coals until medium rare and serve it as an appetizer at a fancy restaurant which I cannot afford to be a patron of.

I was all set to call Casey the smart one
After last week I felt bad because I joked that Casey came in 3rd. But after the Laker love all I can say is …...I WAS RIGHT!!!
(I am just kidding ….he is tied for 2nd with Gavin)

In your critique of Sergio you used the example of his early movement on pick and roles causing moving screens to be called on the picker as an example of his lack of fundamentals, but as a European player he may be used to moving screens as part of the game as they are not called in Europe and are an integral part of the game.
Life is exhausting when you are this stupid.
Perhaps I should have said
lack of NBA fundamentals. Nevertheless, this didn’t seem to be a huge problem for, say, Tony Parker or Jose Calderon.

Also
I understand this point when some people bring it up, but moving too early on screens because that is what you are allowed to do in Europe always seemed to be a “first few weeks” type problem, not a two full seasons problem. You KNOW he is being told not to do that, and it is clearly a mistake.
I mean, he does it nearly everytime. I get that those subtle changes can be hard to get used to, but that excuse really shouldn’t extend past his rookie year.
Jack does the same thing sometimes too. LET THOSE SCREENS SET, BUDDY!

Technical Question
Who do I ask to get the volume turned up? There is a lot of ambient noise on the bus and I had to have my mp3 player on max volume. Dave was nice and loud but those other two fellers were a little hard to hear over the bus sounds.
Great podcast. Good job fellas, take the night off.

I agree. There was no ambient noise where I was but I still had a hard time hearing it. Dave was the only one I could hear well.
I love plugging in my inconspicuous lil earbud and listening to the podcasts as I begin my night of drudgery, toiling relentlessly to pay the bills.

Try mp3gain?

Or noise-canceling headphones – usually you can expect hearing damage if you have to turn up your mp3 player that loud to hear it over ambient noise.
D'oh
I didn’t see annthefan’s post. Yeah, headphones probably not the problem.
You’d think that the Trailblazers organization could afford to spend the small amount necessary to get some radio-type gear (e.g. compressor/limit, normalization).
We do the show
In the same studio they do Courtside, so it’s not the equipment. Like I mentioned, we just didn’t have the levels set properly.

Have you guys tried microphones?
They “boost” your “sound” levels so people at home can “hear” or “listen” to it better.
Also, be sure to hit record on your little mini-cassette recorder you guys use, so that we can all enjoy the show as well.
Honestly though, I am disappointed I have to share my patented Radio Success Secrets with you guys and the Blazers organization, as I’m just one man… just one man.
Great show again, and what’s the deal with them being so short? I want a 3 hour, no commercials, all Blazers and NBA talk show from you guys, STAT TODAY NOW PRONTO.
You guys can even just repeat what you said the first hour, but with different inflections or funny accents. I don’t care. Just… neeeeed… Blazer… stuff…

PS
The NBA kind of brought this on themselves. Also, it was pretty stupid of them to send the letter during the playoffs.
As a “victim” of Donaghy’s crimes, the NBA claimed in a June 5 letter that it was entitled to $1 million in restitution from Donaghy. Restitution, or the reimbursement of the victim’s losses, typically pays back a bank or a charity for money lost in an embezzlement or a theft. Donaghy obviously damaged the NBA and its reputation, but there is no indication he stole any money from the league. The NBA claimed that it was forced to spend the nice round sum of $1 million investigating Donaghy and the damage he caused, and the league wants its money back. Clearly enraged by the unexpected demand from the NBA for $1 million, Donaghy and Lauro retaliated with detailed accusations of manipulation by other referees. It is the worst nightmare for the NBA, which might be considering a withdrawal of its demand for restitution.

I'll get that fixed
I too noticed that Dave’s audio was louder. We had a different guy running the board this week, so it’s probably just an issue of not setting the levels properly before we started. I’ll make sure it’s fixed before next week.
Thanks Casey
I love you man.

Good point
Maybe it wasn’t a mistake after all.
