Spurs poll
A simple question, now that the defending champion spurs once again fail to defend their title--falling to the L###rs 4 games to 1 in the WCF.
What next for Tim Duncan and crew? Many predict the rise of the Blazers, but for the Blazers and other young teams to arise, someone has to fall. Many are predicting the demise of Phoenix and Dallas within the next couple of years, if not next year; but the Spurs haven't made the hasty sort of trades that these other teams have made, foolishly bringing in over-the-hill veterans in a quest for quick gold.
So... in light of this year's playoff disappointment, the San Antonio Spurs are....

Another horrible poll.
What is the question you are testing?
Try this:
Are the Spurs finished as a Western Conference power?
A. Yes.
B. No.
C. Maybe.

And another
is next year on their normal cycle of championships?
Aldridge said. "We feel like we can beat any team. We feel like we can beat the Spurs, Suns, Lakers, Mavericks, whoever any night right now, and we'll still be here when those teams get old and their guys retire. We're going to be here for a long time."
Wow
For once, a poll with almost too many options. I already have option anxiety, and you didn’t help me much with your poll that was longer than your post.
Current team + Greg + Rudy = Blazers losing narrowly to the Spurs in the 2008-2009 Western Conference Finals. Book it.
Boooo timbo
this is the ideal poll. every other poll around here has two options and you really don’t usually feel like picking either of the two. This one gives you quite a range of freedom to express your opinion.
Good poll scotty.

I dunno
It does have a few too many options, but i do like the freedom that is given with the larger choice of selections

That was a tough poll.
I voted option 3, but option 2 was tempting as well. In fact, all the options seem like they could happen fairly easily.
Great poll.
Oden+Roy+Aldridge+Rudy=Dynasty. Believe
We need another poll

First one too hot, this one is too cold
And so much a matter of life and death! If you dare conduct a poll on such a scientifically formal website it shall be just right. And if it isn’t, I must complain.
Choice 2 for me
They won’t go into the season as favorites, but that big 3 still has some quality years left… just maybe not enough for a 5th title.

I heard
The Spurs are going to sue the Blazers for using the term “Big 3.”

So I guess
the mid-eighties Celtics are planning on launching their own lawsuit against the Spurs.

I was watching a Piston/Celt game at Detroit the other night and their announcer, Mason,
used “Rip City” during the introduction of Rip Hamilton. Isn’t that © by the Blazers? Maybe the Blazers should sue the Pistons.

They were a step slow this series
No doubt about it, they’re on the down-side of the hill. I don’t know too much about their salary situation other than I think there’s only a couple fringe guys they could lose after the season.

Spurs are doneski.
They’ll still have the big 3, of course, but they’re about to lose all their quality role players to Father Time, and they have naught but the mid-level exception to replace them. No quality role players = no more titles for the Spurs.

Here's the facts:
Duncan is 32, Manu is 31, and Parker is 26.
They still have a few more years. All they need to do is bring in a fresh crop of role players.
Blake brings it up on the right, swings it to Webster on the elbow, he moves around the key and passes to the low left block for Aldridge, Aldridge jukes baseline, turns back in and finds Roy cutting down the seam, ROY THROWS IT UP AT THE RIM FOR ODEN WHO THROWS IT DOWN FOR THE TWO HANDED MONSTER JAM!!! That’s easier said than done, but if anyone can find some quality young role players for the right price, it’s RC Buford.
