If Rudy misses on volume shooting

I’m not going to be upset if he’s over 45%.

Rudy may be over rated, but he’s going to be a valuable piece regardless.

I do think the point about Ginobli taking on the 6th man roll is a good point, because what if Rudy isn’t willing to do that? Some people need the spot light and that’s not a bad thing, unless you have a team with multiples of those players or you have players that are BETTER than the person who wants the spot light.

I’m glad you guys mentioned the Finland kid too. I’m one of the people that thinks he has talent. I’m nuts like that.

Listening to it right now...

For the record, I don’t think many of the fans are going to be disappointed in Rudy, as you made mention. Sergio has not delivered squat quite frankly, and the fans love him. Rudy is another late first round Spaniard the fans will love.

Current team + Greg + Rudy = Blazers losing narrowly to the Spurs in the 2008-2009 Western Conference Finals. Book it.

Thought that his

(Born’s) Summer League comments were interesting – specifically Koponen, Freeland, and McRoberts and then said he was trying to get older/experienced players to help these three. Of course any draftees will also show up – and isn’t Rudy expected too?

Rudy will be doing

Olympic stuff, I’m sure.

Is there a good site

with info about the Olympic basketball teams? Are there qualifying tournaments or will it all happen in Beijing? Or are there other ways countries are selected? Might Koponen and Freeland and other “euro” draftees (whose rights we own or might draft in June) be involved at least initially?

I'm not an expert, but here's my guess:

The best qualifiers (regional and world champions) have already been determined. The rest will be chosen on the basis of a tournament in Athens in July. Neither Finland nor England made either group, so we won’t see Joel or Petteri in the Olympics.

Ignore the subject line there

I am an expert now. I looked it up instead of guessing. I just forgot to change the subject.

Yeah

I was reading that going “wow… that’s some pretty good guessing there!”

Ourstruly!

I love it! Leave it to a non-native English speaker to create a great new word. Dave is indeed “ours”! (As we are his.)

Good job Dave.

Your voice sounded juuust a tad shaky in the beginning but you soon got over it and sounded like you’d been doing radio commentary every day for years.

Colonel Rondo and his second round armada?

If Boston is determine to rebuild and cut salary isn’t two mid lotto pics and the right salary filler decent. Maybe not enough but better than what most teams get in that situation. I would prefer that over the Chris Paul package.

I hope and figure that the Trail Blazers could have the best of both worlds. I’ve never seen a more bountiful 2nd round. Its conceivable that the team could deal both lotto picks and still find some nice players in the draft. Players like Orlando Johnson, Lucas Nogueira, Kevin Jones, Will Barton are 1st rounders in most drafts even if its just based on hype and potential. Then you have some possible gems in such a deep draft like Machado, a couple guys that I personally like from Georgetown-their center Henry Sims and forward Hollis Tompson. Both high upside players that I would love to watch in the summer league. If PA were to ever buy into or trade into late first or second round now is the time. Give me Freeland, Diebler and four second rounders in the summer league with Rondo coaching.
