OT:When is a foul not a foul??

Watching the final play of  the L*kers v Spur(t)s game last night got me somewhat fired up again about the state of NBA officiating. As you are all aware Barry got the ball and pump faked Fisher into the air. Fisher then landed on Barry's shoulder. Barry hesitated a moment and shot the three for a clear miss. Timmmay's friend Joey stood and watched....game over...no call. OK...well isn't that special. This wasn't a typical out of control fling at the end of the game. There was substantial contact that caused the miss to happen. I hate this kind of call. I am not a nambie pambie who thinks every ticky tac foul should be called but come on! Ever hear of the saying: No harm, no foul? That sorta implies that if there is harm there should be a foul. Well on this play there was clear harm to shooter's ability to make the shot and should have been called. No question about it. The only question is whether it should have been 2 FTs or 3FTs.

I have two major problems with this. 1. If it had happpened earlier in the game it would have been a called. and 2. If it had been K*bie Bryant it would have been called regardless of the time left in the game. This is the kind of stuff that makes you question the honesty and lack of bias of the officials.

PS if I have to listen to one more talking head try to justify this as a case of letting the players decide the game I think I will puke. This was not the players deciding the game ....this was a biased ref swallowing his whistle because it suited his agenda.
