Memphis

If Memphis is interested in getting the number 13 pick from us which of their players outside of Rudy Gay would you most likely be interested in? Kyle Lowry and Mike Conley are both young point guards who have potential but haven't proved much. To make this trade work who would we have to give up? It would most likely be Travis. Who would you be willing to give up to get Conley or Lowry?

Each scenario seems like a lateral move or even a step back for the team

I don’t think trading Travis for a young, unproven PG is a good move.

We shall not cease from exploration
And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time.

I think travis is a great player

I also think he is a better player than both lowry and conley but we also have Martel and James Jones at the Three who are both better at the three than we are at pg. Personally I would love to make this trade work without outlaw or webster, just role players, but I doubt memphis would do a deal in that case

Keep Travis

Otherwise we’ll have rioting in the streets. Led by belligerent BEdgers

Current team + Greg + Rudy = Blazers losing narrowly to the Spurs in the 2008-2009 Western Conference Finals. Book it.

travis outlaw is untouchable

unless it is for a proven commodity. whether it be a pg or sf or whatever. and definitely one who is not on the downside of their career. we don’t want to be the dallas mavericks for gosh sakes.

18 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 steal, 1 block, 0 turnovers, 80% FG, 66% 3PT FG. Can my boy get some love?

Or the Spurs. They looked old and tired tonight.

theyve grown old

not necessarily traded into it

yeah no doubt

but Timmay can still play. Manu just needs to get rolling. but definitely they are leaning on their older players more than ever. But seriously, who trades a rising young point guard (Devin Harris) for an over the hill, overrated Jason Kidd? I used to think Cuban was funny, now he just seems pathetic to me.

outlaw is untouchable

unless its for a better player. Trout+13 for Conley would be a good trade in my opinion. Outlaw is a very useful player who will continue to improve but I think he will always be a feast or famine type guy- I don’t think he’ll ever be a consistent guy who can be trusted game in and game out.

I think Conley will be an above average NBA starting PG and he knows how to play with Oden better than anyone.

This trade is very unlikely to happen, though, so I wouldn’t worry if I was a Trout fan.

Conley went #4 last year

Everyone said he was gonna be a star PG. That draft has and will produce many, many good players. To go #4 he’s gotta be pretty dang good, right?

Has his value dropped low enough to be gotten for #13 and a bench player, albiet a good young cheap one? Everyone was so sure about him last year.

Me, me don’t like his size and relative lack of shooting ability, though he did pretty good over the last few months of the season. He was injured some his rookie year as well. Doesn’t anyone here still think he’ll be an allstar guard?

Since he seems like he may be available for the right price, I’m surprised he doesn’t have more boosters here. We can afford to get a young PG as long as Blake can play ahead of them, and in 3 years this young PG will be a wily veteran entering his prime. And we will be starting our championship run.

Is Conley better than Westbrook? If people want Westbrook, would you prefer Conley? Was he overrated because he played with Oden his entire life?

I don’t like the aspect of his dad being his and Oden’s agent, and if our relationship with Conley should sour, it could hurt our relationship with Greg. I don’t like package deals where you gotta keep both happy even though one is much more important than the other. It may never be a problem, but you never know.

If Conley isn’t a better prospect than Westbrook, Bayless, Augustin, then he is a pretty big bust to be picked at #4 last year in one of the best drafts in the last twenty years.

I’d say Kyle Lowry is more available, but I think he’s not as good as Jarrett Jack and is the same type of player (and smaller).

Because Memphis could take OJ Mayo, and Conley’s perceived future star-ness enterting the NBA last season, I gotta admit I am intrigued by Mike Conley now… especially since he can be gotten a helluva lot cheaper than trying to trade for the #4 pick last season.

This is for you Morti

Conley’s game reminds me of Devin Harris. Fast with a great handle and ability to push the break or get into the lane, good defense, poor shooter.

That being said, I like it. He’ll be an above average PG. Let’s get him.

Blackandwhite,

you have the best Avatar of anyone ….. by far. Certainly better than all the cute little kitties we’ve been seeing.

Yeah, what is it with all the cats?

I mean after awhile, you get bored with cats. You can only plink at so many of them with a .22 or squeeze lighter fluid on them and flick matches their way, or tie their tails together and hang them from a clothesline, before getting bored.

You need counseling

Seriously. Making jokes about torturing animals is a sign of something very sick inside of you. Please keep your sickness a secret just between you and your psychiatrist.

Now we're talking.

Psychiatrist’s are way more fun than cats. For one thing, you can use larger calibers.

Memphis offered Mike Miller for Trout and #13

Accordong to (pffffttt) Canzano on his radio show today. Fortunately Kevin Pritchard is on our side, and Travis is on our team.

(OT) maybe I can sneak this in

I want to take the time to say thanks for the nice comments, especially about my cats. There’s as much appreciation for allowing me into the Bedge with nary an introduction. I’ve noticed several new identities show up and, voila, introduce themselves before just jumping in. Well, I just sorta made my presence known, for which obviously is a faux paus, one currently under rectification. Worse yet, I made immediate judgements, all of which have been replaced. There’s so many knowledgable, insightful, and hilarious PTB fans here it astounds me, and I stand in awe.

Warp back in time with me to before my first post….. Hi fellow PTB fans, I’d like to say hi and post some thoughts and banter with you about the PTB if you dont mind.

I always wonderd about that

There are a lot of folks who join and write a diary introducing themselves then disappear like KG in crunch time.

Surprisingly, most nuns can take a punch.
