Nate on The Herd...

Nate McMillan was on The Herd with Colin Cowherd this morning (5/22/2008).  Most of the talk is about the NBA playoffs but think any Nate interview is a good interview.  They talk Blazers for a second toward the end.  Also I like Cowherd since he's a "local product" at least its not a Rome clip! :-)

There's also some Sheed bashing which I personally always love!

You beat me to the find.

I listen to Around the Horn and The Herd as I’m going to bed…those two podcasts are the coolest thing since…well…I can’t really think of anything cooler than a show that scores the arguments with an Atari controller and a doofus who yells, tells funny stories, and thinks he knows it all.
Good stuff from Nate. Nothing too eye opening…talk about Greg is old news. The second half of the podcast with the guy from MIT who inspired “21” is pretty cool though. He says he was stuffing 100k in the bottom of his locker at school, simply ‘cuz he didn’t know where else to put it?!? That’s insane.

Current team + Greg + Rudy = Blazers losing narrowly to the Spurs in the 2008-2009 Western Conference Finals. Book it.

I like this quote:

“I can’t really think of anything cooler than a show that scores the arguments with an Atari controller and a doofus who yells, tells funny stories, and thinks he knows it all.”

You Know Why?

Because Jordan was a bum! I mean, really, what does he have to show for himself? He drafted Kwame Brown, for Pritchard’s sake!

And Adam Freakin' Morrison

Elgin Baylor, Bill Russell, Isiah Thomas, Larry Bird, Dave Twardzik, both Paxsons, Kiki Vandeweghe—the list of moronic executives who once could dribble a basketball goes on.

“Michael Jordan got…CUT…from his high school team. And he came back and he came back a better ball player, and that’s what you gotta’ do.”

“Michael?!? What’re you doing here?”

“Let’s play some basketball.”

Best movie ever.

Hahahaha!

This is why I come to the “B-Edge”... So many awesome Blazer fans. I like to think we’re a cut above the rest and this is great anecdotal evidence.

I listen to almost all the ESPN podcasts

I catch the Herd every other day or so, depending on how much time I spend on the bus. I love it when it talks to that old guy. Not so big on his “I told you so,” rants.

I love how he does his anti-conspiracy theories too

Seems like twice a week he gives a YOU CONSPIRACY NERDS ARE RETARDED

And goes on for twenty minutes about how there is no conspiracy. Most of the time I didn’t even know there was a potential conspiracy to be conspiring about.

Yeah

He’s kind of Jim Rome light.
