This years draft is....

Looking to be a so so draft after the top 2 picks. Take a look at these stories:

"Should percentages prevail and the Bulls stand at No. 9, look for Paxson to be active in the trade market as the draft nears."

and

" Trading down could also prove to be beneficial, if they were able to package their first-round pick plus a player in a trade for a lower first-round pick and a solid veteran or two that they liked from another team."

A s well as Tom Penn was on 95.5 today and said that outsied of Rose he didn't see any PGs that ca step in right away and contibute.

Now that is 3 sources that are thinking that there may not be a player in the top 10 that can help us out. I can't say that Penn is talking for KP and perhaps in one of the individual workouts KP will see something that we need, but it looks that is there is a player that KP wants, it may not be as hard to get as previously thought.

Best case example is 2006 which everybody thought was going to be a weak draft, sans one person, KP. We landed 2 of the best 3 players in that draft, including a second year allstar in the west. Perhaps KP's eye and feel for talent can find us another gem in this years draft, or use those pieces to make a move for a vet PG or SF, whatever your preference, either way I feel that we need to lose at least one player and we can use him to move up in the draft.

Thoughts?
