(OT) In Honor of... wait, who?
The point totals are very close, and the result of this contest will likely decide the winner of the title of "Unofficial Blazer's Edge Masked Persona" as well as the caricature of Nate which Amlmart1 has so graciously offered. As always, the rules can be found here.
Friday Points Total
AnntheFan - 5 points
JTDuck22 - 5 points
92wastheyear - 4 points
PrezofDeath - 3 points
Bfan - 3 points
Jksnake99 - 2 points
Section323 - 2 points
TominHawaii - 2 points
Amlmart1 - 1 point
Lizzy Lowblow - 1 point
Today, the contestants have chosen me to impersonate. Thank you for the honor! Today's question to be answered as if you were T Darkstar is, "Who will make Nate's rotation and why in 2008-2009?" Good luck to all participants!
Since I am running this contest, it isn't fair for me to be eligible for prizes. Therefore the other prize, the title of "Unofficial Blazer's Edge Favorite Personality" can be decided. Or at least I would have been. The rules stated that whoever got the most impersonation posts would win the title. However, Amlmart1, Lizzy Lowblow, AnntheFan and TominHawaii all recieved the same number, with Mortimer right on their heels. In reality, all those whom we have impersonated are worthy of the title, so I suppose we'll just give it to all of them.

I think this calls for a poll
Which of these players will NOT be in Nate’s rotation next year?
—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-——
- Jarrett Jack
- Sergio Rodriguez
- Josh McRoberts
- TominHawaii
- R2D2
- Kevin Pritchard
- Bill Walton
- TDarkstar’s polls are incredibly annoying
Personally, I think Nate will stick with the same rotation as last year. As we know, rotation changes are a zero-sum game, so any change made by Nate will be a win for someone and a loss for someone.

Yeah
I though all day yesterday about what I should write as Mortimer, and couldn’t come up with anything, then I ran out of time. Too bad Jscot is in prison, he would probably be the easiest to impersonate. You would just have to channel Mr. Burns and Dr. Evil.

Nice!
I read this yesterday, and was still laughing about it this morning. The only problem is that it is too good. My polls never make people laugh like I did.

A Poem
Roses are red,
So is one of the colors in the Blazer’s logo.
Violets are blue,
And so’s your face.
I am really not very good at these impersonations. – Tom

As we all know mine is a refined and poetic nature.
I like to be surrounded by joy and life, and I know nothing more joyless and deader than a comment uncommented upon. An old blog like this…a historic old blog like this…a real old-world blog like this, full of interesting bloggers is – er – interesting to me. It interests me. I am interested in it. Most interested. It – er – interests me to – ah – potter around here. I find it interesting.
The question arises “Who will make Nate’s rotation and why in 2008-2009?” I have only two things to say to you, Blogger. One is that I’ll answer your question. The other is Pip-pip.
C-Greg Oden. He is a long, strapping basketball player, who flows out of his uniform at odd spots, as if Nature, setting out to make a bbp, had had a good deal of material left over which she had not liked to throw away but hardly seemed able to fit into the general scheme. Wherever a man could bulge with muscle, he bulges. He even bulges in places where one would not have expected him to bulge. ...now tailors measure him just for the sake of exercise. He’s built on large lines, and seems to fill the room to overflowing.
PF-LaMarcus Aldridge. He runs as if on air, and his whole soul has obviously expanded, like a bath sponge placed in water.
SF-Martell Webster. He was standing on his right leg. With a sudden change of policy, he shifted and is now standing on his left.
SG-Rudy Fernandez. Dark hair falls in a sweep over his forehead. He looks like a man who would write free verse, as indeed he does.
PG-Brandon Roy. While others are content to peck cautiously at the ball, he never spares himself in his efforts to do it a violent injury.
...And I’m now in a position to say `Eureka!’ sir. As anyone can see at a g. this is the rotation Nate will use.

I can’t write an epic poem, heck, I can’t even read one, apparently.
But I do have a Wodehouse quote:
..he uttered a stricken woofle, like a bulldog who had been refused cake.
Channing and Joel have blldogs, making it even a Blazers related quote.
I am also very pleased that you spelled judgment right.

I don’t usually pass judgement, but the lack of a quality search function makes the Bedge not as bueno.

you can search an individual poster's comments
but you have to know who made the comment you’re looking for.
Good for an impersonation contest, but not too much else.
But if you can search by user, seems like you could search overall. I’m assuming that’ll be back one of these days.

that’s hot by most standards.
plus the people that laugh usually live in places where all indoor locations are air conditioned to 72 degrees.
Yesterday I realized all my posts are OT. I need a game day thread.

I've heard that racial tension is a problem there.
I work with a woman who’s husband is a hawaiian of polynesian descent. Hawaii is pretty much a melting pot in microcosm isn’t it? What do you think the population breakdown is? Natives are a pretty small segment aren’t they?

Yep
A local man and his son beat up a white man, just back from Iraq, and his wife, kicking them in the face and calling them f-wording haoles, because the white guy hit his truck while parking. When they tried to charge them with hate crimes, they said it didn’t fit the criteria and called it road rage.
Hawaii is 40% Asian, 28.6% White, 2.5% Black, 24.7% Hapa, & 9.1% Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander – The math doesn’t work but here’s the link
