Blazers games in theater in 3D
Hey I was thinking about this idea that I heard on the radio. I know that the Rose Garden will be packed next year, especialy on the opening night. Every body will want to see Greg Oden. I know that there probably will be more than 20,000 people that would want to be there, but will sit home to watch on tv, because of different reasons. Well I was thinking would't it be nice if Paul Allen would build, a big theater, so we could go watch Blazers on big sreen, and have it in 3D(you know those glasses u put on). I would like to have a theater where I could go watch Blazers in 3D.

You Know
If the game’s sell out, I’m all for it being played at the Planetarium or IMAX thingy. It would be crazy in 3D.

That would be incredible
If it fills a need, if it fills a rebuilding situation. And my goal is to fill and rebuild and I am not going to be shortsighted.

Back in 1989 or '90
The blazers showed home games in the FOX theater downtown on Broadway during the playoffs. (If my memory is correct.) A Blazer ticket was so hard to get a hold of, especially in the old building. None of my friends at the time were sports fans, so I went alone. It was a fantastic, close game against San Antonio which Portland won in the final minute. The place was just electric. By the end of the game, I’d met 5 or 6 people around me and I “high fived” countless others. Just a fantastic experience.
Now that I’m a season ticket holder, I can’t see myself doing this again. But at the time, it was one of the only options for a die hard. I’d hope that they would do this again. Even if it were only for playoff games..

In my town there is an empty old theater that people are squabbling about what should be done with.
I’d love it if they showed games there. I’m 100 mi. from Portland. My brother used to go to a theater in Portland to watch games. I don’t know which one.

There is no reason for him to build a theater
when there’s an IMAX theater at Bridgeport Village which I’m sure has the technological infrastructure to show the game. I saw the Stones’ concert film there the other day and it’s was better than having the best seat in the house.
Is anybody at 1 Center Court paying attention.
