Spurs are not the most fearsome team...
Probably 4-to-1 odds against the Blazers, maybe 5-to-1, but not unthinkable that they can pull the upset.
t
Pwned!
Whats they gots left? Chain smokin' Euros? Pwned!
Let's Go Blazers! Let's Go!

Not if he was the shooter
Unless the rules have changed sometime in the last 20 years, if the scorer judged that it was a shot, the shooter would be charged with a missed shot, and it would be a rebound for the guy catching it. If the scorer judged that it was a pass rather than a shot, the "shooter" would be charged with a turnover, and it would be a steal for the guy catching it.
If I were going to get it, and a bigger guy jumped in front of me and got it, he would have stolen my rebound. The scorer might call it a rebound, but I would know it was a steal.

Epic melt down by the suns
Yeah
Does Mark Mason do the cool intro?
Imeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee UUUUUUdooookaaaaa
thing?
Has there ever been a shutout in the NBA?
Pryz the scoring machine for 2 more...
What's the Blazers' masonic handshake?
This game could be very, very ugly...
Having watched 2 NBA games earlier...
Joel -- 4.
Travis buries the open 3, slava Boga.
I hate case endings...
I wonder how much of Joel's...
MB says that's 6 for Pryz...
None of the regular links
Sergio holds the ball for the last shot...
"clink-clink-clink-clink-clink-clink" on my highball glass.
Good man, I knew he could do it!
1st Quarter Summary:
Blake + Brandon + Sergio in 1st Q: 1-for-10.
13 points for PDX in 1st...
Portland now 5-for-27...
This seriously could be a 20 pt. game now.
So far, anyway...
Only 3 players have scored for us
Might as well put in Pryz...
This is such an ugly game, I can't stand it
Where's the offense?
I like the way Von comes out to the middle
Travis has the hot hand...
Good defense by Jack.
Oh my god!!!
Quick TO by Pop, who is a really GREAT coach, by the way.
Actually, NBA.com has it at 9...
Jack bad pass; Jack another bad pass.
I kinda feel sorry
Remember, SA is coming off...
What is this insanity?!?!?
You missed a bucket

It's the new slow ball strategy...
It might take overtime, bear in mind.
LMA for 2!! finally
Joel accidentally hit the bottom of the rim
He's probably coming out of the game for a few.
We are shooting 29 %...
Unbelievable!
Adding to the joy...
LMA goes up weakly... and gets faced.
BRoy for 2!!
Good call on Raef.
Leaned in with the shoulder, clearly.
Blazers = Beavers.
BRoy for 2!!
Remarkable that the Blazers are in it.
Nice bid for the And One by Jack.
JJ1 hits 2 FTs!!
They looked like this v. Denver also.
You meant Utah, right?
"Ime's sitting in that corner"
"I don't think so"
"Ok! I'll just leave him alone every possession."
This score looks like its a college game
Good News / Bad News...
.............................................. the bad news is that it's time for Lizardman's favorite and his sidekick.
I'm taking notes

Spirit Mountain Commercial -- 1.

Tony calls Chris Paul feeding Chris Paul...
Blazers shooting 31% in 1st Half...

Bad news about Joel...
I hope he is not out for the season.
Well, I'm gonna go walk the dog.
This is going downhill fast
LMA may finally get it going after all...
Raef for 2!!

Frye for 2!!
Trout for 3!!!
LMA has 10 and 10!!
Patented JJ TO
Stupid call against Raef!
What did I miss?
That was one of the most blatantly...
Apparently Tim Duncan is incapable of fouling!
You are correct, sir.
Philosophical question:
Still in this game, if it is a game.
San Antonio looks proud that they're winning
That really sucks for Pryz
Why do the Blazers always play hot potato
Come back Zach, all is forgiven.
No hot potato with Zach...
Ginobli wouldn't be dunking...
Tough game
It does make me wonder what KP will focus on upgrading in the offseason, the offense or the defense.
I'd lean toward the offense. The best defense in the world won't help if you can't get the ball in the hole.
Two Centers sittin' on a bench
Wonder if Indiana Josh will see some PT?

"The Team with Caricature!"
The Blazers will go O-for...
Pop clears bench, starters sit
Good question...
72-65.
Or, it is two of the least-runningest-teams in the league laying a big fat, ummmm, ostrich egg on the floor.
I managed to miss a good chunk...
This season is finito for the Blazers...
The only saving grace...
uh??
PG is still our biggest area of need.
Oden is a 5.
LMA MIGHT be able to step it up; Raef MIGHT get minutes. But the smart money is on a disaster of epic proportions to end this season.
Pritchard and Nate are both ex-PGs.
Blazers have already squandered one lottery pick on Telfair. And they're gonna do it again, I think.
explain to me the following:
Also, Telfair was not a Pritchard pick.
Talk to me in two weeks, my friend...
From laughing at Barkley for saying the Blazers weren't going to make the playoffs to a laughing stock 10-in-a-row flop, looking up at Sactoe.
Timbo, Timbo, Timbo
The end of this season stinks. No question about it. I'm hard pressed to call it a "disaster of epic proportions," though, when we had an uphill battle to make the playoffs to begin with.
I can't blame him today
I really think it's a testament to the die-hard fans if they watched and rooted for them today, with nothing but pride on the line against a really boring team, while our team is slumping.
I love seeing the fans root them on nonetheless.
This was an Ostrich egg omelet.
I just want...
I hate to say it, but I think...
Looks like
Tony Luftman:
I'm sure his mama loves him anyway.
It sucks
1st track
Awe Snap
:( This game is sad
This game saddens me.
I'm happy I never got to watch it though.
Sign your coach may be losing it:
Nate suggests (1) Frye. (2) Raef. (3) Outlaw.
Yes, Nate's answer to the lack of a center is................ TRAVIS.
This team has won its last game of the year.
your suggestion?
Timbo probobly wants us to cut McRobets and sign Luke Schenscher so we can get 1 extra win this season.
That would be one more win...
Actually, if KP had fixed the hole at the low post when he had a chance, the Blazers wouldn't be parading around with their buttocks exposed from the seat of their split trousers.
I sort of agree...
You are long on complaints and short on suggestions Timbo.
I made various suggestions...
Some good: Shaq, Shelden Williams; some not so good: Ben Wallace. But I called the low post defect EARLY and stewed over it for a good month while all and sundry were convinced that this was the Perfect-Chemistry-Marvelously-Balanced-and-Proportioned-Blazer Team-for-the-Ages (tm) in embryonic form...
This season KP did nothing but throw playing cards into a baseball cap on the other side of his office. His massive dealing this season was dumping one non-playing short-timer PG for a non-playing short-timer SG... So be it, he made his decision (and 98.7% of the BE community supported it) and now we get to see the end result in living color. It's gonna be brutal.
That's not negativity, that's realism.
I will note that KP's organizational model has been professed to be San Antonio -- and that's the style of play he seems to be committed to as well. I'm starting to wonder whether the Blazers will EVER be able to push the ball like a quality NBA West team with the current cast and crew...
Oh well, the 98.7% remain optimistic, deluded, and happy -- except while they're actually watching, at which time they're every bit as negative as I am said to be.
Right, Mr. Snake?
absolutely
I don't think the Blazers will ever be a push-it team. I think we will improve on the break (hey, we can't get worse) with Oden rebounding and Rudy as another scorer, but I don't think we'll be great. Eventually (talking ~3 years down the road here), I think we'll be good enough in the half court that a mediocre fast break will be enough.
Now now, there are several here...
(1) Sergio, in any form, at any time, with any haircut, on any court.
(2) Consistent inability to run the fast break.
(3) Consistent inability or unwillingness of anyone not named Pryzbilla to play the low post; partial credit given to late-season LMA here. Particular onus for this failing on Channing Frye, the "#2 all time blocks leader" of the Pac-10...
(4) The failure of Nate to address points 1, 2, and 3 above; instead playing players out of position in an attempt to gloss over structural failings. (He was worse about this early, finally figured out the reason Joel was on the team and this became rather less of a problem, from my POV).
(5) The failure of KP to address points 1, 2, and 3 above.
Really, that about covers it, unless we want to add Tony Luftman as point 6...
I even don't mind the Spirit Mountain ad, unlike some people, ha ha.
