Hilarious interview on Comcast Sportsnet

I don't have any video on this, but I can give you a basic rundown.  Barrett is interviewing Jones, Frye, and Aldridge on their opinions of the upcoming season, and what their winning prospects will be with Rudy and Greg.  Jones answers in all seriousness, "55 to 60."  Frye, in his Nintendo t-shirt, responds "I'll respectfully disagree with James, I think we'll have all 82."  Jones doesn't even realize it's a joke and just keeps on going "82's a good goal, but the Bulls won 72 and they were the best team ever.  I think 60's in our range, though."

Just another example of how well these guys get along together.

I wonder

If Frye’s prediction is wrong, will he ban himself from his blog?

Have you seen the one with Oden & Roy yet?

Oden has to have one of the dryest wits I have ever seen. He is quite funny. They were asking him about his weight training, and Greg was saying how he plans on “going to the beach with a wife beater on, shave the chest a little”. Brandon was just cracking up, Oden never cracked a smile and kept his composure. Can’t wait for next year.

My favorite teams are the Blazers and any team that is playing the Lakers.

He also

he was probably going to have four different hair styles next season and Brandon told him that he was going to be much too busy (tired?) to worry about his hair style.

Obviously I saw the other one too as I cribbed Channing’s comment for my signature.

Next season look for: "50...60 wins", James Jones. "...I think we can win all 82 if we put our minds to it," Channing Frye. April, 2008.

Just because you have wii envy

You think you need to put down everyone’s wii. I feel sorry for you and your lack of wii ownership. If you had one, you’d understand why it’s so much fun to play with it all the time. My girlfriend really loves playing with my wii and I think that’s a testament to the equipment I choose to play with.

Nintendo rocks.

"No way. I love this town. We're gonna bring back the glory years. These boys are my boys. This is my team and my town." - Greg Oden when asked about leaving.

That's funny!

Your wife was playing with my system last night.

PS…I think she broke my joy stick

I love my wii

And my wife loves my wii too.

Seriously though, it is the most fun I’ve had with video games in ages. I’m not surprised that they’re still hard to find. They will be until there is one for every person on the globe. Then nobody will be in want, and everyone can enjoy their wii’s together.

This subject does go downhill fast, doesn’t it?

It scares us whenever anyone does that.

Especially when they still don’t have the sarcasm font fixed.

The Wii is awesome

The first system I HAD to have since the SNES almost 20 years ago. And Mario Kart Wii Online is way more fun than the clip of a shirtless John Daly I just saw on SportsCenter.

Jerry Sloan is a complete and total smeg head.

It was cute

Oden had Mike and Brandon cracking up… Aldridge laughed loud when Frye said they could win all 82, that was funny. I like the show , it was funny, not very informative but funny.

Are they gonna put it online?

I feel so lost inside that everyone else gets to be in on the joke and no one shares it with me. High school all over again :-(

Believe me,

It is better to be on the outside of jokes than the only one inside. Well, that is if you want to make people laugh.

It’s their own fault for not realizing the puns that can be made when one intimately knows the worlds of Super Mario Bros., Exotic cheeses, and existential philosophy. When they look at you strangely over what you just said, simply smile and know that you are far smarter than anyone in the world.

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.
