I raced home from work to my friends house (76ers fan) to see the lottery. I started screaming when Portland’s logo didn’t show then when the sonics logo came up at 2 I went nuts running around his house shouting.

One of the most thrilling things that I have ever done.

When I got home after the draft, my wife was amazed. She commented that I had the same look on my face when my first child was born.

Good times. Good times. I like the Blazers. I made a drinking game for the draft. I’ll put it up in one fanpost later this summer.

We won’t be adding 4 drafted players (one at #13) PLUS Rudy,
and still keep all dozen players on the active roster, with rights to Freeland and The Petter.

This year’s lottery watch will be all about the trade watch.
Players or picks, SOMETHING is getting traded, and probably on draft day.
But my guess is, come the next morn, we’ll all be buzzing about nothing involving a drafted player.

Unless, of course, we DO massively move up.

But we will not be picking at #13. BOOK IT!

I remember that day… I still worked 3rd shift and I stayed up to watch, I remember screaming at the T.V. trying to call the picks. I got Atlanta, Seattle and Portland right.

I remember the Boston fan standing there with his mouth open, shocked. Hilarious. But that’s what you get when you tank like crazy just to move up.

What an amazing day. It was ridiculously fun.

But I really enjoyed the thread and realized it’s been there in the right hand column all along. Thanks for directing my attention to it.

But it seems awfully mean to do. Imagine, if you would, these questions appearing above:

“Should we hold someone responsible for everything that is wrong in the world?”
“Should someone be caned for the L*kers winning as much as they have?”
“Should someone be given a date with every supermodel in the world for being a great fan?”

The possibilities are endless. Well, at least for TominHawaii.

i know since the old blazer thoughts i’d have more fun talking to real fans of 1 of my personal favorite teams.for the most part the conversations and arguments have been entertaining and fun.but a deal is a deal.to all the people who wished me the best thanks for giving me a reason to live.a year ago at this time,my fiancee had orvatal cancer.she’s been in a reha center for 10 months now.when i come back 1 year from tonight.i pray to god when i go to work.she’s wacthing t.v. in my bedroom. which means she’s alright,she finally has her memory back and i can live my damn life again with her.my life has just about been empty without her.my nephews miss her deeply also.because her lunches they miss dearly.as for the guys here on the edge take care fellas. i’ll definately see you again in a year. if you seriously will miss me,i’ll be on quick’s chat every thursday check your local listings.who knows what casey is going to do over there.to the guys who have e-mailed me to keep in touch.oh yeah fellas we’ll keep in touch daily.and for the contest.good luck to everyone who got involved.i can’t wait to meet you in april out in portland.to all my haters don’t worry i will be back with a chip the size of mt.hood 1 year without this chat aghhh i’ll live. and to my many supporters as far as guam and europe.i love you and i’ll be back in 1 year.and finally to my boys from the edge to quick’s chat.damir,england dan,p.allen it’s on tomorrow fellas have my back it’s on tomorrow afternoon guys book it.for those who regularly go to quick’s chat i’ll see you tomorrow.for the guys on the edge daily see you 1 year from today later fellas.
