Site format frustration

Does anybody know what happenned to the links to other blogs (basketball or other sports related).  Blazersdege always became my Blazers homebase because I could easily navigate to the other Blazers related sites easily with out all that silly typing. One click and poof I'm at truehoop without all the crap and automatic video than ESPN likes to bombard you with (which wouldn't be bad if it wasn't 90% ads).

So other readers voice your comments here so that maybe we can bring out/back features in this blog things that matter to us.  I believe the content will always be in good hands with Dave as our moderator.   Speak now, lest we be force into a predefined box.

Midway down the homepage are the links to other Blazer sites. All the way to the bottom, you can find links to other blogs such as Golden State of Mind.

I see now, it's a very slow loading problem

It takes a minute or two before all the side bars fill completely with data. When I’ve been looking for links, they just had not loaded yet. I know its not the speed of my Web connection. Thanks for the pointer.

Me too

It’s been slow loading that last couple days…...

Too few fanpost titles on home page

On the old format I could increase the number of diary headlines to as many as I wanted. Now I can’t find a way to do that unless I click on “all fanposts.” I don’t want to click on “all fanposts.” I just want to have about 30 fanpost titles on the right side of the home page whenever I open the site. It irks me that we don’t seem to have this option.

Nature bats last.

If you're logged in,

Then click on ‘edit settings’ in the frame in the upper right portion of your screen (but below the top ad). There you can increase the # of fanposts to be displayed in the appropriate column. Make sure to click the update button (I didn’t the first time).

Thank you shenanigans

I didn’t notice that settings link. I just changed my settings and now I am much happier with this new format.

I still like the old one just as much, though. Got no need to run around SB Nation posting comments on other teams’ sites. I’m home here and I don’t need to travel.

blocking?

Before we made the switch, there were rumors about getting the ability to block a given user so that we wouldn’t see any of their posts. Is this possible with the upgrade?

Get Blazers Edge out of SB Nation!!

Look what happens when our site goes global. Immediately we are plagued with technical difficulties and we lose our site for hours at a time. SB Nation is like the NAFTA of sports blogs. Our corporate masters love it but we regular folks get screwed.

Nature bats last.

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.

OK, that should just about wrap up the goaltending discussion.
