Nate is a good coach.
Here's evidence that Nate is a good coach.

It would be pretty simplistic to say that this is absolute. Our offense may improve after timeouts because we usually hand the ball to Roy after a timeout, for example. Our defense may improve...for some odd reason other than Nate that I can't think of.
There is more evidence that Nate is a good coach.

According to this, the third best 5-man unit per minute was the tiny ball lineup of Blake-Jack-Roy-Outlaw-Aldridge. I hated the three guard lineup like a lot of people on this site, but this suggests that it somehow seemed to work. Nate's oddball rotations couldn't have been that bad.
This is just something to argue against all of the threads calling for Nate's head.

I love Nate
He understands the game and coach’s, just like he played, the right way. He’s a good teacher and you can tell that, look what he did with Rashard Lewis in Seattle. I just hope he can be our long-term coach, I’d hate to see him not be able to get out team to the ship and us have to replace him cause I love the general.

this is awesome
statistical validation that Nate is great with making adjustments, motivating his team to play better, and drawing up good plays that out his team in a position to win games.

This is a great article...NICE FIND!
Nate does a great job of refocusing the players. He’s just a little hard headed when it comes to substitutions, but overall does a great job.
I would just like to see some more movement on offense which can lead to easier baskets.

Now only
if someone can do some kinda analysis on how Nate chooses his substitution pattern. I have to admit that it has gotten better over the season as a lot of fan cries have been answered (mainly with Pryz in key situations).

Maybe we should fire him anyways.
I hear the Knicks are looking for a new coach.

He has probably now been eaten by bears, like the children who made mock of the prophet Elisha: but if he still survives he will not be able to make a similar charge against Summer Lightning. With my superior intelligence, I have outgeneralled this man by putting in all the old Wodehouse characters under the same names. Pretty silly it will make him feel, I rather fancy." - P.G. Wodehouse

That’s my biggest complaint about this upgrade. No sarcasm font, no snarky font, no idiot font.

I can't be too excited
I spend a lot of time bashing raw stats in my comments so I don’t want to turn around a say this is “proof” Nate is a good coach…But it does poke a stick in the eye of some arguments against Nate’s ability.
The most important thing about the stats is that if we are in a game down the stretch, we have a good chance of winning and that is due to good coaching. That has been brought up more than once by a lot of people throughout the year.
The other thing these stats reinforce is that Nate is coaching the way he is because of the players he has. The Blazers are young and prone to wander off track from the game plan. As the team matures (or adds veteran help), I am willing to wager we will see more of what Nate was talking about at the beginning of the season, more up and down play with scoring going into the 100s more consistently.
