New uniform design leaked?

*EDIT* Sorry guys...after checking out the website, I've realized that it is a website for designers to upload their concepts hoping to get work. I doubt that this will be used next year. He has other concept pictures for other teams that have been dated years ago that have never came to fruition.

Hi there Blazer Fans. I googled up "trail blazer uniforms" just right now and googled up some pictures of the city of Portland to get some photos to make some avatars/signatures and stuff. I came across this picture that might interest you all. I don't know if any of it is official or if this is just a concept picture. It also looks like they have a new logo redesigned too. The design seems a like it would most likely be used for an alternate uniform, as I can't picture us wearing these on a regular basis. What are everyones thoughts and opinions?

Has that ever been part of the Blazers?

I think those are ugly. But I’m not an early adapter of anything, so I always think “new” is ugly.
Although I do kinda like this new format already.

I think this will just be an alternate logo and alternate uniform. Anyone remember the alternate logo we had years ago with the ball and the flames coming out the side? I’m assuming this is the same way. It won’t replace the pinwheel. This has got to be an alternate uniform for our National Televised games.

I like the subtle change in the uniform...but

Open to public?

Is it open to the public? That’d be cool to get my hands on some better blazer gear. I like the authentic players gear adidas has for all the teams…but all the other generic stuff needs an upgrade. The shooting shirts, and warm up pants with the climacool fabric is pretty cool. The other stuff needs to be improved tho. OSU and UO gear look way better than Blazer gear IMO.

who here agrees with me that we should get rid of the “trails” blazing diagonally across our jerseys. im honestly a little sick of that look and it reminds me a lot of the jailblazers… AND THESE ARE CERTAINLY NOT THE JAILBLAZERS!

The trails are OK in my book and they have been there much longer than the Jail Blazer era. They can stay or go, depending on the design, but I don’t think the Jail Blazers is much of a justification for the move.

I'm willing to let a lot of stuff go.

I even liked the Ducks unis until they went to the Lightning Yellow debacle (I swear I couldn’t see for the first 10 minutes of that Miss St. game), but losing the pinwheel would really tick me off. They can blend it with something, mix it up a bit, but if they lose it I will get cranky.

I kind of like them. Lose the gold and I can buy in for sure. I like the connection to the past with the same striping pattern but an updated look.

The wagon wheel with the axes doesn’t quite work. I think it is the horns that throw it off.

This is just some guy looking for design work offering up pieces of his “creativity” to a website designed to be somewhat of a monster.com-esque site for graphic designers. I hardly doubt the franchise will want to tinker with uniforms any time soon.

As far as this design is concerned—it’s horrendous.

I think I may have jumped the gun on this one. After looking thru this guy’s (Wayne Russell’s) portfolio, it looks like he just does a bunch of concept art for a lot of things. Some of it is dated from a few years back and never became used by their respective teams.

On the image it says 2008/2009 Concept Jerseys. No way would the Blazers accept this, but it is interesting nonetheless. Change the logo…yah right.

I was thinking I need to crunch some more numbers this off season. I counted Miles and Oden this year and they didn’t play. That’s one tweak, and then I think I should see what the TiH is for the starters. It would get old over 82 game if I didn’t mix it up. I think I can do some projections after the draft.

I like it!

I mean, a big wagon wheel, with horns coming out of the top of the wheel, and two crossed fireman’s hatchets underneath. Obviously that’s exactly what the Blazers have been about all these years. Every time I go to the Rose Garden I think, “Why isn’t there a big, horny wagon wheel with axes all up in the middle of that floor? That would make the team really cool.”

I like how in the layout the uniform bottoms (for illustration purposes) are just a small step away from being skorts. Forget illustration, I think they should go the whole nine yards and just make the unis into actual skorts. Nothing says cool/sexy/intimidating like a skort.

that on the road uniforms that gold on the top makes it look like you were sweating so hard that the paint dripped down off of your Notre Dame football helmet. This will also have the added benefit of making every Blazer trading card look like an ultra-rare foil special instead of just a normal card. “Look! I got a gold-foil lined Von Wafer! That’s going to be worth money someday!”

Blow ‘em up – bring back the ‘77 uniforms (with the exception of the short-shorts – nobody except Jorga & AnnTheFan wants to see that (OK, maybe Tom as well).
