Around SBN: Jerry Sandusky's Wife Tries To Run A Reporter Over

Thanks Blazers, thanks Blazersedge

I'm jumping the gun a little bit, but the 2007-2008 season is almost in the books.  Close enough...

I want to personally thank the folks I've spent hours upon hours discussing Blazer junk with this season.  I also want to thank Dave and newcomer Ben for their fine work, for their hard work.  This has got to be one of the finest team blogs in the universe.  The discussion is almost always top notch, the disagreements are usually civil, and the knowledge is immense.  I learn something new every day I come here.

I also want to thank the Blazer franchise for getting its act together so quickly.  Thanks Paul Allen for coming to your senses regarding the Rose Garden, for cleaning out the scum and luring one of the finest young GM's around, for allowing yourself to become a fan with us - that's all we ever wanted.  Thanks KP for drafting so well, thanks for creating an atmosphere around the team that we can be proud of.  Thanks for working with us, rather than against us, thanks for the transparency and the honesty.  And lastly thank you to every single player on the roster.  We criticize, we yell and scream, we make impatient declarations about how much playing time you deserve, we mock, we love, we hate.  But mostly we love.  There isn't a player on the roster I wouldn't want to shake hands with.  This group made me love the team again, and I can't thank them enough for that.

2008-2009 can't get here soon enough.

Thank YOU
for posting an apropos and well-written diary. I couldn't have said it better myself. And on a personal note, I've liked reading your posts this season. Your observations are typically both jaded and gimlet. Thanks for contributing here.

I'm the first to admit I'm impatient and
cranky.

But I love this franchise, the relationship was sealed the day I was fortunate enough to go to a Finals game with my pops at the Colisseum back in 89-90.  The Blazers lost that day, but I got a taste of what it's all about and I've never forgotten.

18 years ago, holy cow has it been that long??!

Couldn't ask for more
Couldn't ask for a brighter future for a young team, couldn't ask for better players to root for.

Plus, couldn't ask for a better fan site than Blazersedge.

It isn't even fair really; our team and site are just so much better than anything else ever in the history of the universe.

Blow up Blazersedge!

It’s obvious they are too powerful a blog to exist.

Good work, guys!

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.

OK, that should just about wrap up the goaltending discussion.
