Joe Alexander to enter draft.
Of all the players I watched in the tournament, Joe Alexander is the one who intrigued me the most. Reminded me of David Lee ... with a jump shot.
DraftExpress currently has him going to the Nets at #22. http://www.draftexpress.com/nba-mock-draft/2008/
I wouldn't spend the #13 pick on him, but could we trade our two early second rounders and cash to move up to #22?
The Cavs need a PG. Could we trade Jack to move to #19?
Everyone seems to want KP to move up high to get somebody, but I wouldn't put it past him to target someone in the middle round and make a couple moves like this, much like he did with Rudy last year ...

Since the Big East tourney...
Between picks 12-22 there are 5-6 small forwards on the draftexpress draft board. It is far too early to have a handle on where anyone outside of top 7 players will go. Depending on his workouts he could easily move into the top 10 and I would be shell-shocked if he's still on the board when the 20th pick rolls around.
I think Alexander and Collison are the two most likely to be taken by the Blazers, based on the type of players we've targeted in recent drafts (intense work ethic, proven body of work, out of a major conference, athletic, etc.).
We already have too much youth on the team though. If we do draft Joe, Martell or James Jones is the odd man out.

I wouldn't mind
Outlaw, That one guy who never plays, and Frye are all at that position.
I like Outlaws abilities, but he really seems to lack the floor smarts I want. I think that's been hurting his development more than anything.

Freeland?
I wonder who will end up with a longer NBA career, McRoberts or Freeland?

Freeland
But, seriously, I think with all of the love given to Koponen I don't see why everyone is forgetting about the other Joel. Unlike Koponen, he is stuck on a team that has him undercontract, but doesn't like him because Freeland wants to play in the NBA. Also, his team plays the likes of Rudy's team, unlike Koponen who is playing in Finland.
The biggest point I have is Freeland plays positions that are dominated on athleticism, not skill. He has shown hard work and it already an elite NBA athlete, so I don't think I'm going out too far on a limb when I say that he'll will become a NBA player.
