Who remembers GO with Luftman and Holton?

I was telling a buddy of mine about the game a few days back when GO was hanging out with Tony Luftman and Michael Holton in the studio.  I think it was the pregame for the March 2nd Lakers game.  At any rate, there were a few awkward moments, like when Tony asked if Greg enjoyed hanging out with them during the segment, putting GO on the spot to say something positive even though it seemed pretty clear to me that he thought they were a couple of hacks.

Anyway, I seem to remember GO mentioning something like "packing the paint", and Michael Holton responded by throwing out a couple other "packing..." cliches.  I swear the guy ended by saying "packing the fudge" or "...chocolate" to Greg, at which moment Oden responded with "That's gross.  Don't talk to me anymore."  Hahaha, classic.  Well, I don't think Michael realized what he was saying, but I'm wondering if I even remember this correctly since I can't find any reference to it.  I'd love to have this short clip posted on YouTube, but the site I visit that archives games doesn't have the pregame included.

Does anyone remember that exchange like this?  Is there a clip out there somewhere?  My friend thinks I'm making stuff up (again).

Pretty funny...
........................... that would make great vid, make sure you get the URL up on BE if you get it together.

I really hope they do something about the cloying towelboy and Coach "Good Times" in the off season. That pair defines "insipid." I think Holton was okay with Akamian, but just okay -- with Luftman, both are intolerable.

I dunno
I remember there being an awkward exchange like that, but I don't think Holton said "packing the fudge."  I'd guess it was just a lame, G-rated attempt at a joke that had Greg at a loss for words.

I remember when they were trying to come up
with a nickname for Von Wafer and Greg was just like "Call him Von, I mean that's his name. It's a good name." It seemed kind of awkward and they really put him on the spot to come up with something. Watching the pre-game show is painful.

don't remember the fudge... but
I do remember the Von statement (frm mmpog1).

But I thought there was a even more awkard moment when an inredibly obvious question was posed by Luftman to Greg, Greg touch a couple of moments to compose himself and gamely and politely answered. Sorry I don't remember it exactly but it was along the lines of "You must really want to be out there with your teammates."

Holton
I think Holton is much more comfortable on radio. I've heard him on the 5th Quarter, and filling in on other Blazer broadcasts and he seems more comfortable, and I think he's actually pretty good.

T.V. is another story. Both those guys seem to force the jokes and witty banter..it's not natural. I can't listen to it.

Man, what a bummer
I could have sworn he said fudge or chocolate.  I was hoping someone would dive into the dvr to find that it, but maybe I'm just off on that one.

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.
