Around SBN: Explaining Jeremy Lin's Early, Surprising Success

Channing Frye is a extraordinary person of magnificent importance.

Maybe not , but he is certainly undervalued by most Blazer fans. These are some reasons he should get more respect.

  1. He is playing out of position.
  2. He has a great blog.
  3. He loves the city of Portland.
  4. He hates the city of Sacramento.(This illustrates his good judgment.)
If Oden had played this year I don't think we would be all giddy about trading Frye. Plus he has a sweet trick shot that we haven't seen in Portland yet.

He has no position...
................................. he is emotionally a 3, stuck in a clodlike 4 body, used out of position by Nate at the 5 -- which he has neither the temperament nor the ability nor seemingly the knowledge to play.

If he loves Portland he should live there and if he's a good blogger, he should do that professionally, because as a "big" in the NBA he's not happening and not gonna happen.

Frye's value
only comes as a bench player and in the right situations where he can get a decent match-up. I agree w/ Timbo, seems like Channing is a round peg in Nates square offense.

On his side, he has a nice touch on his medium range shot, and occasionally battles for rebounds.

Thats about all I can muster up on Frye's behalf.

I heartily endorse this event or product-- Krusty

You agree with me
therefore you must be right.

When I rule the world, Paul Allen will buy Idaho, and secede from the Union.  The Idaho Stampede will be our D League team, and they will win the Olympics.

I'm frequently right, but always certain

Frye looks to me like he is what he is.
You know what his skill set is, and that's what he is going to give you. He's NBA caliber but his game doesn't stand out as particularly impressive against all the other talent on the floor in an NBA game. Seems like a generally good kid.

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.

OK, that should just about wrap up the goaltending discussion.
