Brandon Out

Due to a death in the family.  Read Mike Barrett's blog for more information.  Obviously our thoughts and prayers are with Brandon and hopefully the team can step up and get a victory tonight to help ease his pain.  Martell will start in his place.  Hopefully he will rejoin us in Indiana, but no mention of that.

Oh, no!
Who cares about the game?

I hope he doesn't rush to Indiana if his family needs him.  There are lots of things more important than a basketball game.

And despite what someone said in another comment, that nobody prays, I am praying for him and his family, and I'm sure I'm not the only one.  Death is inevitable, it comes to us all eventually, but knowing that doesn't make it any easier when it hits someone we love.

Having just dealt with death in the family
I know for me I wanted to be back at work because I feel when I am not I let people down, but I just could not do it and everybody understood.  I hope Brandon takes all the time that he needs, even though he will be missed on the team.

HIGHLY AWESOME BANDON INTERVIEW
I didn't want to start a new thread for it, but do be sure to check this out. It's about 7 minutes long and gets past the usual fluff...

I am thankful he is with his family
I am thankful he is with his family and not in a strip club in NoPo.

My deepest regards and sympathy goes out him
and his family.  Don't worry B-Roy, we'll hold it down till you get back.  You are the heart and soul of this team.

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.

OK, that should just about wrap up the goaltending discussion.
