Around SBN: Knicks Beat Lakers With Familiar Strategy

Brandon Roy on ESPN Page 2

Nice interview with Brandon, where he discusses the team, Zach, Movies and a little bit about politics.  LZ's Cafe, breakfast with Brandon Roy.  At a local Shari's in Tualatin.  Fun listen.

Our future as we know is in great hands.  Does he ever do or say anything wrong?

What's it say?

I'm at work, where watching noisy videos is frowned upon.  :(

Anyone got a text summary?

But reading Blogs is okay! : )
Here is what I remember:
  1. Roy speaks about his halftime chat with Zach when Zach was coming down on the guards for turnovers
  2. He talks about his love for movies especially of the gangster variety (Godfather is his favorite)
  3. How is watching the political landscape a bit more (especially Obama)
  4. Won't talk about the playoffs until there are 13 games left in the season
  5. He is becoming more confident in the fourth quarter
  6. He doesn't look like he eats much of the food
  7. LZ picks up the check and Brandon makes sure he tips enough
There was more, but I am at work as well, so I better cut it short!  : )

What is wrong with the coaching staff?
When are they going to teach the players about good food and good places to eat?  Shari's is OK at 4:00 AM, or the morning after drinking, but not when you're being interviewed by ESPN.

The tip
Roy checking the tip at the end is classic.  He is looking out for all of Portland, even the servers at Shari's.

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.

OK, that should just about wrap up the goaltending discussion.
