Nate McMillan's Barber
I work in an office near the World Trade Center downtown. Since today has been another of those beautiful, spring-like sunny days, I took a late lunch to walk to waterfront park and get some coffee. On the way to the park, leaving the World Trade Center Starbucks, behind a window to my right I see Nate McMillan sitting in a barber's chair, getting his hair trimmed. I did a double-take, then waved. He smiled and waved back.
After thinking about the encounter for a few minutes while I drank my coffee in Waterfront Park, I wrote a message on a Starbucks napkin for Nate, then went back and held it to the barber shop window. I wrote, "Good Technical. Kobe is a Punk." He and the barber smiled and Nate waved again. Made my day.

Signs, signs, everywhere a sign!
Do this, do that, can't you read the signs?!
I'm glad you held up your own little sign, sotis. And I'm glad Mr. McMillan waved at you. Twice!
Speaking of Nate's barber, I wish he'd go back to the one he used during his playing days in Seattle. A little more on top made him seem mellower and kind of hip. These days he looks like the epitome of a buttoned-down control freak. And I gotta say he looks constipated most of the time when he's on the bench.
Tell his barber to leave Nate's hair alone and let it grow out.
You're talkin' about
That would be soooooooo fresh!
