Kobe Bryant Hand Injury

No one likes to revel in the misfortune of others.  But how does the Kobe Bryant hand injury change things for the L*kers as they are trying to integrate the play of Pau Gasol into their team chemistry on the floor? Do you think the L*kers will let him postpone surgery?

I hope
He gets the surgery.  It probably makes little difference to us this year (I think they are too far ahead of us to catch anyway).

But you want to beat them at their best, and next year could be classic.  You don't want to mess around with stuff, if you need surgery get it taken care of.

He'd be back for the playoffs, and ready to go for the Olympics.  Otherwise, he'll be hampered in the playoffs and Olympics, and possibly (by waiting until after the Olympics) it will impact him next season, as well.  I want them at their best next year when we're ready to compete on that level and whip them.

You are like those indians
who mesure themselves by the greatness of their enemies.

You misunderstand me
and the depths of my antipathy for the L*kers.

It is not a case of measuring ourselves by the greatness of our enemies.  It is a case of wanting our enemies to think they have reason to hope before we destroy them.

I´m reading a chapter of a book
wich title is "the art of making enemies". So I talked about greatness of Lakers. I fear I´m losing my time. Because I try and try and try, but nothing at all. You Oregonians don´t have blood in your veins. Damned Oregonian phlegm.

I heard this injury can be fatal
He better retire and not risk it.

Think what you wish..
..but when it comes to Kobe and The L*kers, I do enjoy reveling in their misfortune.

Okay, I do draw a line at life threatening or career ending but in general? L*ker misery brings a Blazer smile to my face.

You mean...
You've never hoped that at some point their team plane would crash?

Sweet
I always wanted it to crash into the Yankee's plane.

Can it get worse by waiting?
It seems it would be really dificult to play with the pinkie in a splint.  Wouldn't one be rather used to gripping the ball with all five fingers?  A bigger question is what is the risk in waiting?  And how bad would a "further injury" be?  Anyone remember this happening to another player?  A reletive? A family friend?

And, amlmart1, you risk much by using the term, "greatness of Lakers."  That oxymoron cannot be well received on this site. (I'm teasing you.) L*kers have relied heavily on outside help due to their reputation which makes them greedy not great.

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.

OK, that should just about wrap up the goaltending discussion.
