Randolph Crowd Reaction

The Oregonian this morning ran a quote from Z-Bo in which he thinks he'll get a standing ovation from the crowd tonight. That made me chuckle, but I don't think he'll get the "Kevin Love in Eugene" treatment, either. I think he'll get booed, but only a little bit, because of how well his departure worked for us and how poorly it has gone for him. I almost feel bad for the guy. Well, not really. What do you expect the Rose Garden's response to be?

I'm with you...
I expect to hear boos, but I doubt it's too nasty. I think most people will give him a good clap, but definitely not a standing ovation. That made me laugh, too.
The Portland Trailblazers... where dynastic happens.

Stay Classy Portland
Lets not boo the guy, he is a part of the past that we can leave far behind. We can be glad we don't have him any more, but we should be classy enough not to boo the guy. Randolph called Portland "home" in the Oregonian today, he left on pretty good terms and most importantly he didn't want to leave. This isn't a J.R. Ryder or Bonzi Wells situation, Z-Bo to my knowledge hasn't said anything bad about the city other than that he thinks we should have kept him.

He had to be joking
when he said that.......but i hope we don't boo him. His biggest problem in Ptown was that he is follower. I think he usually meant well and he was a hard worker.

he didn't hate the city
let's not hate him. He still talks fondly about the fans and his time spent in Portland, whereas guys like Bonzi love to crow about how they couldn't wait to leave. I'm hoping Zach gets the Sheed reception at worst (half boos, half claps), but maybe we could muster up a polite round of applause? I think a standing O would be a little comical, though--how could Zach be sure we weren't doing it ironically?

Exactly
There's nothing really to boo. He played well hear for a few years, and he was traded. I'm not really angry about anything.

Thanks to the good lord he's not still a blazer!

Zach's intro tonight
We have a character team and character fans. Lets give Zach a respectful ovation tonight and represent our team, players, and Zach with class and dignity. If that's not red & black, I dont know what is.

For I have seen the light....

Agree
Give Zach a nice hand.  No standing ovation or anything but no booing either.

Portland will boo
I'd say book it and so on, but i saw what happened to Fatty.
"No way. I love this town. We're gonna bring back the glory years. These boys are my boys. This is my team and my town." - Greg Oden when asked about leaving.

There will be audible booing.
It will be more noticeable than any applause.

Don't Boo
Lets not blow things out of porportion, he wasn't that bad.  Lets not forget if it wasn't for Zach the past three years the Blazer could of been some of the worst teams ever.  Lets give him a good clap then move on.

Look,
We all know what Zach brought to the table and what he did not. If I had tickets to this game, I would clap moderately loud, just as a sign of respect. HE just did not fit here, and that is nothing against him, but it is like two people who are going out for a long time and then they realize that this isn't working anymore and they need to call it off. No hard feelings on either side.

We can at least give him a hand as he is stuck in basketball hell with little way out.
