Winding Down
I talked with Lisa Swan at the Trail Blazers ticket office and we're ready to close the book on Blazersedge Night ticket sales. Before we do, Lisa informed me that we have seven official tickets left to use for sending kids to the game who otherwise wouldn't be able to go. Beyond those seven tickets there are thirty-odd in the section as well if there is overrun on sales. So...this will be your last chance. No matter who you are, no matter where you live, you can make a difference in the life of a Portland kid by sending them to a Blazer game on the 27th. All you have to do is contact Lisa Swan and tell her you want to buy a ticket for a kid. lisa.swan@trailblazers.com (503) 963-3966 Tickets are $22 each if you buy them singly, which includes a $5 processing fee. If you buy them in bulk you only pay the fee on the first ticket and the rest are $17 each! I hope we can sell those last few and make Blazersedge Night complete. --Dave (blazersub@yahoo.com) P.S. If you are a blogger who took me up on the offer to feature and interact with your blog if you bought three tickets to send kids, e-mail me and let me know. Lisa can't give me your info directly.

As I found out
tickets are actually $17 with a $5 dollar processing fee. Meaning that if you purchase a group of tickets you only have to pay the processing fee once, not for every ticket.
Thanks!
I didn’t know that myself. I have corrected it. (And the hideous font problem. How did that slip by?)

I thought my card was mischarged (is that a word?)
so I contacted Lisa about it. She told me about the sweet deal if you buy more than one ticket.
Ticket
Are these tickets only available for the kids? I just found out I will back in Oregon from NY for this game, and am dying to get up to a game. Anybody know if I am able to use the tickets for me and a friend or two, without looking like the grinch who stole underprivleged children’s Blazers tickets?
You can always get tickets
Just talk to Lisa.
She’s selling two types of tickets for Blazersedge night. One for folks who just want to go and one to donate to kids who otherwise wouldn’t be able to go. Just tell her whether you’re ordering for yourself or for the kids.
I’m not sure how many seats are left in the main section that we’re sitting in, but talk to Lisa. She’ll know.

I think the good folks at Canis Hoopus wanted to do that "send three kids" thing
Maybe Jorga can ask them again
B-Rex bandwagon begins
I'm not partaking
But I’ll be there – my aunt gave me a pair of free tickets. I’m taking my 89 year old dad. :-)
Prepare him
that the Rose Garden is NOISY nowadays. All of that music during timesout and such.

Thanks for the warning
I’ll bring earplugs for him. Although he’s half-deaf from years of using chainsaws.
account transfer
Hi everyone,
I would love to donate some of my savings, but Lisa Swan e-mailed me that account money transfer is not an option, while it is the only option for me as I’m from Poland and also don’t own a credit/debit card. If there is a person to whom I could transfer the money and who would then forward it to Lisa, please contact me at t0_masz@o2.pl. Thanks!

sweet!
I did my part. I could only afford one ticket, but that makes 1 smiling kid :) Talked to Lisa on the phone this morning and she was uber-nice.
Dave, Which charity org. are you going through to pick the lucky chilluns? I’ll see y’all at the game! I wasn’t able to get a BlazersEdge ticket as i didn’t know i’d be up there @ the time until a week ago, so i got some sweet tickets behind the hoop about 12 rows up. I’ll still be wearing one of my BEdge Shirt!
Every child must be encouraged to get as much education as he has the ability to take. We want this not only for his sake-but for the nation's sake. Nothing matters more to the future of our country: not military preparations-for armed might is worthless if we lack the brain power to build a world of peace; not our productive economy-for we cannot sustain growth without trained manpower; not our democratic system of government-for freedom is fragile if citizens are ignorant.
