Rec this post!

I was wondering if there would be a CR thread for the playoffs.

What is everyone thinking for next season?

Good luck all...

I just noticed they are changing the way the divisions are set up next season. They will now be determined by team ranking and training credits. I believe the formula is:

.05*Total training points + team ranking…

That is good news for the BEdgers!!!

Should be interesting

Good luck to all the Bedge teams, cool to see 3 in the big tourney, and one repping the smaller one. Maybe we can get two champs?

Grats to Just Blaze

Glad to see that team still rocks after I retired.

We stumbled there for awhile

but have now won 16 of our last 18 (can you say Blazers??) and are hitting the playoffs on a 7 game win streak.

*Pawtucket Pats

A good Gym Rat team – oxymoronically. Should be an interesting game.

BEdgers are looking for a shooting guard/small forward....

PM me over at CR if you have a player you think we might like. It would be cool to keep it in the BE family if possible…

Two rounds down

and all the BE teams are out – but …. the teams that beat us are all in the Sweet Sixteen. One of us may have some bragging rights when this is all over. You know, “we lost but the team that beat us won the whole thing which might mean we’re the 2nd best team.”

The team we lost to went on to beat a 2nd seed by the same margin – only we scored 7 more points against them than the 2nd seed did. Tonight we beat another losing playoff team by over 30. Not too much to complain about.

How do you train endurance?

Probably too late to get helpful info, but I just noticed a note from a BE member on the CR forum thread about endurance training after Day 1 and I’m just curious as to when you all start.

We’ve discussed it a lot in the JB forum and the consensus seems to be that the optimum time is about 11 am. I understand the logic but have a hard time “wasting” the time before 11. It also seemed like a waste to not use all 10 credits the first day – which set you back when TCs were ruling the division placement. Still since (I assume) we have no initial rating in the revamped system TCs will definitely be important until the first game and probably for several days after.

Of course I don’t intend to get up in the middle of the night to keep the queue full, but I was interested in how other BE players train endurance.

Mama said there'd be days like this - and she was right. Get used to it.

well.......

one of our lead mutants DID stay up til 2am and loaded his que back up. Don’t quite get the 11am point. But all our guys spend the first 3 days pretty much all on endurance. Goals are going to be 24 to 27 on endurance depending on if you’re a gym rat or not. We basically get to about 22 then we do one additional about every other day so that we don’t lose any tc’s.

Congrats to all the BE teams for Season 5

had some good matchups. Was hoping there would be another OT posting in here. Boom was quite confused for the first part of the season ( going 6 and 17 ) and then seemed to sync up ( went 15 and 4 ) to squeak into the playoff’s. Too bad we didn’t get the Spider Pigs match up!

Season 6 has some more tweeks and I think we’re good for one last run…. not sure where the team will be going after this season.

Some Just Blaze vets are hanging it up after this year

So maybe you guys could mesh the people interested in playing after this season. Just and idea as I will be one of the people riding off into the sunset.

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.
