Through this point in the 2008-2009 NBA season, here's my top-five ranking for shooting guards.
1. Dwyane Wade
2. Kobe Bryant
3. Vince Carter
4. Brandon Roy
5. Joe Johnson
It’s a toss-up between Brandon Roy and Joe Johnson, but Roy has an edge here due to my homerism.

Johnson gets the nod because of playoff experience
But we all know Brandon will reach super stardom when he hits the post season.

He was born for the post-season
When the stakes go up, so does Roy’s dander and he goes and WINS.
Joe Johnson is fine, but he’s a jump shooting kinda ball hoggy player. He will likely always average more points than Roy, but he isn’t nearly as good of a leader or clutch player. He isn’t getting to the hole in the final minute of a game for a winning layup, in other words.
And I’m a JJ fan!
