Just like Garnett himself, apparently Boston fans can dish but not take it. A fan comment on the Boston Globe story:
I was at the game. Good to see so many Celtic fans there. Yes, the game was ultimately a disappointment, but something more disturbing than a sloppy loss was the barbaric behavior of the Blazer fans.
The Oregonian ran a piece a few days ago in anticipation of the game saying that the Boston Celtics are a team everyone loves to hate. Really? I guess that's a sign of true success. The only sports team I hate hasn't reached the level the Celtics have in many a year, for that matter, the Yankees are not the Red Sox, and all that infers.
The cretinous moron in the row in front of my wife and the guy next to him spent a good part of the game razzing KG and yelling "Boston Sucks!" The one saving grace was that we were in the last row of the second level. Kevin did not hear them. But, seriously, this was the ugliest sports crowd I have ever seen this side of the Bronx-- a mob of misplaced aggression that would seem more fitting at a cage fight than a basketball game.
Maybe it's been the bad weather and all the fine people from Portland were pent up and out of sorts. Then again, it may be a sign of the times.
I happen to get a kick out of Kevin Garnett's incessant jibber-jabber on the court. I also am in awe of the poise and talent of Paul Pierce, Ray Allen and Rajon Rondo. They are the World Champions, and maybe it is just unreasonable jealousy that drives the fans of Portland, and elsewhere, to such ugliness.

My favorite part of this sanctimonious drivel is the fan's concern for how our "razzing" might hurt KG's feelings. Puhleeeeze. Boo-hoo.
