language?

What’s wrong with a little bad language? I’m trying to accurately portray one Joseph Dorsey! ;-)
(FYI, there are two other ‘Ruminations by Joey Dorsey’ posts on our blog)

just a little different than around here

where we have a pretty strict no naughty word policy.

and having not met or listened to joey dorsey, I don’t really know how fair of a portrayal that is, regardless of whether or not it’s funny ;-)

but yeh, no knock on you guys or the website. it seemed like a pretty cool place. I browsed the front page and read some of your other stuff. I got nothin’ but R-E-S-P-E-C-T for bloggers who run a whole website. I tried running a blog for a while and I got burnt out just making little five-minute posts a day.

Why are the Spurs ahead of us but behind Denver?

based on divisions

The division winners are guaranteed at least “top 4” billing.

I have no idea what a “Gorilla Dunk” is, but it sounds impressive- give the guy his money!

Didn't we draft Dorsey and then

trade him for Nic?

My favorite teams are the Blazers and any team that is playing the Lakers.

yep

i questioned the trade at first b/c i though that Dorsey could have been our big bad bruiser, o well

Woof

It was a pre-agreed upon trade.

We didn’t have a real interest in Dorsey. We just had to get Houston to take Batum at 25 so San Antone wouldn’t take him at 26. We traded them the #27 and #33 picks, which ended up being Darrell Arthur and Joey Dorsey. Dorsey was never available to us because if we hadn’t dealt with Houston, they would’ve just taken Dorsey at 25.

oh actually they would've taken arthur probably.

shrug

I don’t think we had much on our draft board after Batum that we were that interested in, and from what I’ve seen, this was another excellent pick. There was I think unusually good talent around the late first early second this year, but they were of the bench PF (we’re already stacked) and backup PG (again we’re already stacked) variety.

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.

OK, that should just about wrap up the goaltending discussion.
