Around SBN: Knicks Beat Lakers With Familiar Strategy

A powerfully built, multiskilled guard took over the Madison Square Garden court Tuesday night. With a squint and a time machine, Brandon Roy could have been Stephon Marbury about a decade ago.

I live here...

So i’ll probably still read it….

But i was at the game. Roy did dominate the game…

Weird

That quote is not in the story. The story must have been edited because there is a similar one : “Roy, a powerfully built, multiskilled guard, put on a nice show Tuesday,…” with no Marbury comparison.

The author probably started receiving hate-mail from Blazer fans.

Or at least, that’s what Bill Simmons would think.

Poor grammar is poor communication.
Poor communication causes misunderstanding.
Misunderstanding causes fighting.
Fighting causes war.
War causes death.
Therefore, your poor grammar may just kill us all.

Marbury is the most impressive athlete at point guard I've seen in person

He is much, much quicker than Roy, but with not even half the savvy.

Marbury is one heck of a talented player

maybe we can snag him off the waiver wire soon, once the buyout is complete.

Oddly I'm not that offended

About a decade ago Marbury was a very dominant guard. Well maybe I should be a little offended. Brandon imo, is a much more well rounded player and has a much higher basketball IQ. I read it as NY media slamming the current state of Marbury more than a slam against Brandon. You know you are a team in transition when the local media is asking you to squint and look at the opposition and remember what was, instead of what is. I wonder what is going to happen in NY if they don’t lure LeBron? My guess a lot of squinting with tears involved.

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.

OK, that should just about wrap up the goaltending discussion.
