Vote For the Blazers on TV!

We can't do anything about the ongoing Comcast deal (or no deal, really) but we can offer this one ray of hope.

Voting is now underway for NBA TV Fan Night, the December 9th version.  The Magic vs. Blazers game is one of the options.

Cast your vote here to get the Blazers more national exposure.  Rumor has it that there's at least a chance if a couple things happen (sellout, national TV takes the right feed) that the normal blackout will not apply for those who can see NBA TV in Portland, though I cannot confirm this.  Step #1 would be getting the game on NBA TV in the first place, so get out and vote!

"The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing. One cannot help but be in awe when he contemplates the mysteries of eternity, of life,(of the Blazers), (of KP's madness), of the marvelous structure of reality. It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of this mystery every day. Never lose a holy curiosity." - Albert Einstein

They will eventually need to take the L*kers off these weekly ballots...

Thus far, it’s been the L*ker game winning the Fan Night honors every week, yet I believe there is a league limit as to how many nationally broadcast games each team has throughout the season.

So, hopefully, once the L*kers surpass that limit, the Blazers will have a better chance of getting broadcast. Although we may need to wait for the Celtics and Cavs to surpass their legal limit as well :-)

Come on Blazer fans

we’re getting beat!

The pictures kinda small, but Im giving the C's a big thumbs down

by Blazermaniac77 on Dec 2, 2008 2:14 PM PST reply actions

Why...

would people want to watch the L*kers kill the Kings, when they could watch Oden and Howard go at it?

by BlazerFan88 on Dec 2, 2008 2:14 PM PST reply actions

that was my exact thought

But, the L*kers have the bandwagon full right now…Even if I were unbiased, I’d still rather watch Lebron take on the Raptors or Oden vs. Howard. silly L*ker “fans”.

Every child must be encouraged to get as much education as he has the ability to take. We want this not only for his sake-but for the nation's sake. Nothing matters more to the future of our country: not military preparations-for armed might is worthless if we lack the brain power to build a world of peace; not our productive economy-for we cannot sustain growth without trained manpower; not our democratic system of government-for freedom is fragile if citizens are ignorant.

Don't vote for the Blazers!

I, for one, am against this because my league pass provider does not carry NBA TV so I’d have to find the game on a crappy internet feed! Anyone else in my boat?

by erastus25 on Dec 2, 2008 2:38 PM PST reply actions

yep

but i still voted for them, reluctantly…

i hate this part of the league pass that doesn’t allow viewers to watch NBA-TV games – thankfully they are on the lesser side

I have directv

I’m in Seattle and the Blazers NBA TV games are all blacked out anyway because of the “local market” issue, so I still wouldn’t be able to watch it!

Wow!! The power of the bandwagon is huge!

We are getting killed by the Laker bandwagon, who doesn’t really care to watch Oden VS. Howard. Note to the NBA…..STOP showing the Lakers play cupcake teams, I know that is all they play lately, but this is not good for TV….for my TV anyway.

Only 1 vote counts

I just voted almost 20 times and It didn’t change from the 9%.

…Now I’m reading the comments, and I guess that I’m not the only one.

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.
