Great

The funniest scenes are when Brandon crashes over Steve Nash for the layup and the foul, and when Grant Hill hangs his head after Travis pulled up for the jumper over him. Glorious.

Thanks! I don’t have TNT, so listened to the game on the radio. It’s great to wake up to a nice highlight reel.

all-star voting

Disregard DMK’s comment about Roy’s not having enough votes to make the all-star team. He doesn’t have enough to be a starter, but since, as we all know, coaches vote the reserves in, he will make the all-star team for sure.

I'm not worried about it

All-Star game means nothing. Roy will be All-NBA at the season’s end this year.

You’re right, that plea wasn’t meant to mislead but was part of the effort I heard the guys here and at BaB wanted, and that was to turn out the All Star vote for Mr.Roy.
The votes he’s gotten are paltry compared with what he deserves. Was just trying to shed some light on it and help earn him some respect.

by DMKPDX on Dec 19, 2008 2:36 PM PST up reply actions   1 recs

100% agreed

I guarantee coaches will vote Roy into the All-Star game. He won’t be a starter, in fact as long as Chris Paul and K*be are in the league, he probably never will, but he’ll be a perennial all star at this pace.

Best play

I loved the give & go between Roy and Blake towards the end: you take the shot…no, you take the shot…no, you take the shot…no, you take the shot. OK, if you insist.

Now speed that up to Alvin & the Chipmunks speed and you’ve nailed it.

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.
