RealGM gives Sergio some props
What Blazer ranks between Dwyane Wade and Devin Harris in a statistical category? Sergio, in improvement. Sounds right to me, and props to Sergio for elevating his game to seize the second point guard spot.

Good for Sergio
Clicked through to look at current overall standings to see Brandon at #14 and LMA at #46. Interesting to look at the last column, the salary comparison "The difference between a player’s deserved salary based off the Floor Impact Counter (FIC) and actual salary. " Assuming the red is overpaid : Kidd, KG, K*be… most underpaid is Millsap – is he still on a rookie salary??

Milsap makes $797,581 this year
He’s on the 3rd year of a 3 year deal that he signed as a rookie. He wasn’t a 1st round pick, so there was no ‘rookie scale’ for him – he signed for a bit more than the minimum in his rookie year and for minimum salary in the 2nd and 3rd years. Utah used part of their MLE in 2006 to sign him.

Similar with Bass, right?
Do they have the right to match offers for them (Gilbert Arenas clause or something)?

2 different situations
Utah will have full Bird Rights on Millsap, so the only limit on what he can be offered by other teams or by the Jazz is the maximum amount allowable by the CBA for a player with 3 years of service in the NBA.
Bass, as a restricted FA with only 2 years in the league, can only be offered a contract with the first year equal to the average player salary (ie, the amount of the MLE) by any team other than the Mavericks. That’s the Gilbert Arenas provision. This way, the Mavericks can match if they want using Early Bird Rights.
But essentially, the answer to your question is yes – both the Jazz and Mavericks will have the power to match next summer for those two players.

Brandon Bass, who's in his fourth NBA season, will be an unrestricted free-agent.
Yet, Paul Millsap is so much more productive than Bass that it’s not worthy of a debate.

Ahhhh...
Silly me. Looking only at the length of the contract signed and not actual years of service……
Thanks for the correction.

Sergio actually isn't at the top of my hit list any more
1. Channing
2. Travis
I wouldn’t mind keeping Sergio if we send Blake packing.

That is good and fine, but...
I think you nailed it before. Nate has been giving Sergio minutes with the same vigor that I would wax and vacuum my car prior to posting it on Craigslist.
The unfortunate catch 22 here is that in order to make him look attractive to other teams, you remind yourselves why you picked the guy up in the first place.
I heart taxes.

Yeah, I'm glad we detailed him before selling him below bluebook
and perhaps rekindled our love for riding him on the open road.

we need a penetratin PG
do watever to get a good one. or develope JB more.
"All our holes," says shooting guard Brandon Roy, a surprise All-Star last year in his second season, "are holes that Greg is going to plug."

Blake
certainly isn’t a penetrating guard but all of our other point guards can. Sergio, JB, Roy. So I don’t think the situation calls for a trade necessarily.

Joel should be on that list
If only by the “improvement through rest”
