Felton?
• Sources say Charlotte remains highly confident that it can follow up the Richardson deal by finding a taker for versatile swingman Gerald Wallace, despite the prospect of three seasons at $9.5 million each left on Wallace's contract beyond this season. It's believed that teams interested in trying to pry Raymond Felton away from the Bobcats instead of Wallace -- Portland has been mentioned -- have to be willing to take back mothballed center Nazr Mohammed (owed a combined $13.4 million in 2009-10 and 2010-11) thanks to Felton's improvement since being moved to shooting guard alongside rookie point guard D.J. Augustin. One source close to the situation said new Bobcats coach Larry Brown had already been grinding on vets such as Richardson and Wallace, which has apparently exacerbated Brown's famed penchant for wanting to make changes.

That's probably a likely scenario
even though it seems a lot of BEdgers hate Felton. I bet he could hit 2 out of 5 free throws though.
not worth it
if we have to take nazr

Yup
I don’t believe any trade rumor that has a high paid guy that isn’t worth his pay coming to Portland. It defeats the purpose of letting Raef rot here for so long.

How's Felton's jumper?
I know he can get to the rim, but I don’t know much about his outside shot. He’s shooting around 28% from three this year, but I haven’t seen him play and it could be something where the percentage is misleading if he has a good shot (desperation attempts, bad looks because the Bobcats don’t have an inside game, etc).
Bayless has been testing the fences for weaknesses
Not good
But then again, he averaged more points and assists than Blake and plays on a crappy team. Hard to say how he would look surrounded by Roy, LMA and Oden.

True
And when Martell gets back, that adds a deep threat to the first unit, it could work, but I don’t think KP will want anything to do with Mohammed’s awful contract if MJ insists that’s part of the package

No please
Were going to be mentioned as a destination for everyone by every team simply because we have Raef’s contract and a ton of young assets.
We’re not trading for Raymond Felton.
I have heard his Defense is almost as bad as Ellis'
If he had decent D then I would be all for it, except only for Sergio, not for Blake, he doesn’t have the same 3 point accuracy that Blake has, where hes not as good of a passer as Sergio but a much better scorer
"Sometimes I catch myself watching him and he's shooting floaters all-net. And just to watch how he's talking trash. I loved it. I loved every minute of it. Rudy's a competitor." - Brandon Roy
What does Felton do that's worth getting?
I’m serious
"It’s a good ol’ fashioned Rip City beat down!"
I don't know
he averages 21% from the foul line in late game pressure situations?

so is your main argument simply that Blake is bad?
Anyone but Blake? ABB?
"I would be in favor of trading LMA and Oden for a reliable starting PF at this point."

KP is a magician it seems like.

Felton would be great
If he wasn’t such a bad player! HAH! See what I did there? FLIPMODE.
Now if anyone checks my profile and sees my recent posts they’ll think I think Felton is great, but it’s worth it for such revolutionary, epic jokery.
He can’t shoot, but still shoots a lot. Turnovers. No defense, gambles for steals. Prone to chubbiness. The Bobbies are playing him at SG instead of the PG spot he has held for a few years for a reason, and not all of it is DJ Augustin.
If you liked Jarrett Jack’s boneheaded plays and non-PGness, but hated his work ethic, team first attitude, and serviceable mid-range jumpers, then Felton is the PG for you.
Felton would be an awful PG for our good team, just as he is for a bad team. His numbers always look decent though.

I am wary of Bobcat players like Felton
because even on bad teams, some body has to score points.
Felton is definitely not efficient.
Even when the Blazers were one of the worst teams in the league a few years back, Z-Bo still put up All-Star numbers. Sure, Felton is more of a team player than Z-Bo, but it’s not like he puts up great numbers and his team is terrible.
I’m wary, worried, and (under)whelmed.

Agreed
With the Bobcats lack of an inside game, his scoring numbers are probably inflated. He probably isn’t the answer. That Carolina class (Felton, May, McCants) has definitely had its problems on the court since hitting the NBA

yeah, no kidding
I’m happy to see those Tar Hells suffer.

LOL
How many 2 guards do we need? We already have a superstar backed up by a guy who would probably start for most teams. Felton probably wouldn’t even beat out Bayless for minutes at the 2 and he’s a damn pg! some of these ideas/rumors make no sense at all. why exactly would we want him anyway?
