Poor Mo.

The Faith don't panic, the faith freaks out burns out farms and torchs small villages in the name of The Faith.

Mo was not the problem

The problem was (and remains) poor performance by Brand and lack of chemistry. The GM deserves most of the blame. Mo is a good coach. I’m sad for him.

Just saw this

truehoop story. Good god. His “strategy” against the Magic was to help off their corner three point shooters. I’m sure we’re all painfully aware of how good their 3 point shooting from the corners is after this week. I almost don’t have a comment, other than to say “good god” again.

there is nothing to forget

Mo did not “ruin the Blazers.” Nobody could have forgotten how he “ruined the Blazers” because that did not happen. Bob Whitsitt ruined the Blazers and then Steve Patterson came along and we stayed ruined for a couple more years because he didn’t know how to climb out of the disastrous Whitsitt era.

Mo Cheeks did quite well with the little that he had to work with in Portland. That is what actually happened and I won’t forget it despite your effort to reconstruct history.

Mo Cheeks did not ruin the Blazers

He was a terrible fit for a rebuilding team, but he was dealt a pretty terrible hand in Portland. However, he certainly should have been winning more with the roster he had. He’s not a very good coach, but he most assuredly did not “ruin” the Blazers.

He did not ruin the Blazers, but he certainly didn't help.

Cheeks was a terrible coach in Portland, and even if the roster was loaded with unfortunates, a good coach could have done better. All he did was run iso’s. It was pathetic, and brutal to watch. I can’t believe the man is coaching in the NBA. Er, was coaching.

They should have fired whoever decided to acquire Elton Brand

And build around massive contracts for Brand, Iguodala and a declining Dalembert who doesn’t seem to fit at all with Brand.

Cheek's coaching highlight's

his best momoent was the assist provided during the national anthem. That being said, his worst moment was drawing up a play for DA fro a threebay against NJ out of a timeout and the game on the line. DA missed badly and we last (again).

I like Cheeks as a person but in evaluating a coach i’d love to see the numbers for coahes in the plays just after timeouts (both offense and defense) How often do you get the score/stop? That tell’s you who is a good coach.
