KP would be nice...

But you would have to mention to him that if he traded Steve Blake a few of us here at Blazer’s Edge would be destroyed : (

I'd love to know

What is his view for the future of the team, if he’s ok with the way Nate is driving the team (despite the W’s), what he thinks about the new guys and the evolution of the team. I’d also love to hear about his thoughts of player who could come to the team both by trades or future drafts, but I know that’s too much to ask for.

If Ben dropped an interview with PA on Blazers Edge…..well…I don’t quite know what would happen.

I know for a fact the BE Bat Phone would X-plode from trying to field like 30 calls at a time, and Ben wouldn’t even have to do any recruiting to get a Harem the size of a million-dollar NFL stud.

I had one of Mike Conley's BFFs on my list for a while

I pretended I was a college student at OSU who was a cousin of a friend of Conley’s. I was hoping Conley’s BFF would eventually invite me to a game with him and Conley himself…..then I could befriend Conley who would then be traded to the Blazers and then I could befriend every Blazer with an Xbox 360!!!!

Unfortunately, the guy turned out to be a friend of a roommate’s friend of a monkey’s nephew of Mike Conley’s brother’s nephew’s aunt’s brother….so I never even got close to playing with Conley.

Argh

I did Etch-a-Sketches for an ESPN commercial a while back (anybody remember last season’s Winnebago promos with Bill Walton, Gilbert Arenas, Dwight Howard and Deron Williams?) and Gilbert Arenas was talking about a secret gamertag he uses that was like RichardJeffersonSUX or something, but I forgot to write it down and have since (obviously) forgotten it. I remember they shot that thing the day Halo 3 was released and they had to send p.a.‘s all over NY to find a copy for Gilbert’s trailer.

Questions and interviews

1.) Interview Greg Oden.

I’d like to hear some commentary on the pressure he deals with and what he’s doing to handle it.

2.) General Manager or someone else

I’d like to hear a bit about the inner workings of a basketball organization. Who is responsible for what. What are the roles how does it all work together! I want to know how to run my own basketball team some day!

3.) Marketing.

How have things changed? What do they do? Commentary they receive. what happens to those internet surveys that the NBA passes out when you’re a season ticket holder?

4.) Paul Allen

How has his involvement changed? How have his feelings for the team changed, or have they? what happens if he dies? Will someone take on the team that loves it like he does? Seriously… what happens to the ownership and money then? I’m concerned.

What was his involvement in the changes, what business lessons did he learn? Have those lessons carried over into other aspects of work?

5.) Stern

Why can’t we get more transparency with refs? Are there legitimate concerns that will hamper the ability of the ref? Shouldn’t someone still be there as a check and balance with them? Is there someone like that and it’s just not public?

6.) Blazer cheerleaders.

I report on utah and blazer cheerleaders when I go to the game. Tell them that I think they’re awesome compared to the crappy girls out here. Say it nicely though. also, what goes into the routines? Training and so on.

7.) Tom Penn

Haven’t heard from him in a while. What sort of master plan is he working up with KP now?

8.) finally… the person who plans the timeout entertainment and manages canned air. Why do they not listen to where the crowd wants to go? Why do they keep doing dumb stunts and killing the momentum (some of those events feel like commercials so I wonder if the blazers are paid to do them and it helps fund the garden). Can they please NOT do those things in the fourth quarter. I mean, if it’s dead have a plan B or C for entertainment, but if it’s lively… don’t do it… get the crowd into it!!! Keep it exciting if you have something. So, yeah, ask what’s up with it and why it is the way it is and whether they review it, how they decide it should change or if they even look at that.

It has been better than last year (3 games) but there have been times in the fourth I’ve been irked.

Greg Oden, where posters happen.

With all the injuries, and even the national level questioning by David Thorpe of Greg’s “upper body vs. lower body” developmet earlier in the season, Jay is one guy whose work impacts the team in so many ways, we see him in the national games in those moments where we’re holding our breath… yet nobody ever talks to him.

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.
